It is confirmed to not be Cross-Buy, despite the rumors and interpretations of the store description.

You may need to buy 10 songs to get platinum but you can earn trophies with just one song.
Anyway I understand that it is annoying and I totally share that feeling and especially the confusion on why it had to be this way in the first place. Also the responses on the community blog, even when lots of users where way out of line language-wise, where in part unacceptable.
I would also like to move the game to a folder, even though I am playing Singstar and appr...
If I had to bet I would go with 'Cross-Buy only on digital purchases'. Everything else doesn't make sense from a company view. If it did some disc verification, everyone could borrow the PS3 version and get the VITA version for free. If they included a voucher people would sell it on ebay, effectively getting the PS3-game cheaper and whoever buys the VITA-voucher also buying a cheaper game, without the publisher making money from it. Even if it is combined in the online-pass, whic...
While I understand the annoyance of the Icon and it's backdrop it is not an ad. It is a game - a free game. If someone parked an ugly car in your front yard for you to keep it would make sense to complain about the car, especially since it comes without any fuel (songs) but not about it being an ad.
Actually I am one of the guys who plays Singstar fairly regularly and I have been wondering for a long time why they didn't put out a free app like this. They wouldn't lose any money because I would still have to buy tracks and I would still need some mics. Also I have about 120 bought songs and only ever used the discs for starting the game and then navigated around the disc tracks I did not want in the first place but needed to start the game. So basically I am pro free-Singstar. ...
Not saying anything about the 'Cion-Problem' as such but your argument is kind of weired:
"They can't understand why I have no problem with it. It's ONE icon and a game for FREE. Yes, you have to buy tracks, but there are plenty of second hand copies out there that would work with this DLC version."
If you buy a used game for the tracks you don't need the Icon. If you don't buy a disc (or tracks in the store) the Icon is usel...
What I find more interesting about that picture is the normal price. 60$ is fairly standard and 54$ is a nice plus rebate. Guess what they ask in the German store: 70€ without rebate. Going by todays exchange rate that makes 90$. That's 40% more for German Plus-members. Seems about fair.
It's not really an ad, as it is just the background for the app. If you insert a game disc you will not have this problem and the game will also show it's background, which will also not be an ad. I always have a disc in the system so I don't see it all the time.
I am however still annoyed with the icon, since I have all my digital content nicely organized in folders... well all but the Singstar icon which always floats on top.
What I really don...
I'm in EU and couldn't find it. I don't think it is a region problem. I think it really isn't out yet.
EDIT: Nevermind. It's straight under the game disc under games. I didn't see it. It's out already and I can totally see how it annoys people who don't play it to have that icon floating there.
Is it really out already? I updated the firmware and it is not there. Also I though this article about SIngStar was more of a 'coming soon' thing than a 'out now' thing.
He's not wrong though. In Europe there are a lot of contracts that slow down the connection when a certain amount of MB is reached. Using the VITA over this connection certainly uses those MBs up quit quickly. The larger problem though is the battery life of the cell phone. Maintaining a wifi-hotspot takes some juice out of your device.
Also using this method still doesn't give you the enhaced GPS-features you get from a real VITA.
As long as I am happy I'll be happy.
The same here. Deleting a set wit 0% or 1% would be great or the ones from 1-hour-full-trials. Doesn't bother me too much though.
I'm pretty sure it wasn't there before. I specifically searched for it, but maybe I mistyped. But 'not very good'? Are you serious? As far as I am concerned it is still the best VITA-game out there, rivaled only by Gravity Rush and Little Big Planet depending on which genre you like better. Unit 13 being better, according to this article, seems very strange to me, but it's their opinion I guess.
So the article doesn't even mention Golden Abyss? Weired!
I'm pretty sure all the artwork he did while under contract belongs to the company and I am also sure that he didn't create everything by himself. So considering artwork Darksiders III should be safe.
As r21 said PLUS most previews are pretty happy with it and what I played at GamesCom seemed far from mediocre. It felt like Golden Abyss quality-wise.
This is a fail comment. The 98% has nothing to do with the amount of traffic but the amount of races taken from the PS3-version. There are 2% races missing but you get exclusive VITA events instead.
Noone would even mention 2% less traffic because noone would ever see the difference.
All it needs is more Kinect-Titles :D
Agreed. Would have been very nice but they certainly would have advertized it big time. Still, at least we have an official answer now. Unfortunately some people made the generic psn-description to a certain cross-buy-fact and will certainly make a big fuss about how SONY lied to us etc. etc..
