Not even people on the Blog loved it. There are a gazillion comments about people who hate the new store. Besides the better optics the new store is a major step backwards.
Be happy you have the old store. The new store is terrible. I'm a big SONY fan but that new store is terribly slow. I mean sure it's just the cell processor so you really can't expect it to run a better website (HTML5 store) smoothly. But not only is it slooow, it is also even worse to find new stuff. And downloading a demo now takes about 8 clicks. Usability and speed have both decresed from the old store. Would you have guessed it possible? I hope they add a 'classic'-lo...
It's always been free in Europe. It just took a while until release. The only thing that did cost money (and still does) was an addon-pack. While lots of people really like that game I find that piece of software terrible, but since noone forced you to play it AND it is free it's still a great deal.
Because resolution was the only problem with playing a ten year old game. Thank god the poly count and texture/effect levels back then were just as good as they are today.
I'm pretty sure it will be. I never understood why it wasn't so far. I have about 150 Songs on my hard drive and the only reason i ever needed a disc was to get the game startet and then I always had the annoying disc tracks inbetween that i never wanted anyway. So having a free application makes a lot of sense. And they wouldn't even lose anything with it since people need to buy songs and mics anyway. I'm pretty sure the contract is formulated in a way that it was not allowed for him to promote other consoles. In that case I think SONY is absolutely right to sue. But on the other hand the contract ended before the new spot aired and so I think it's fine for the guy to do whatever he pleases.

No the article is right if useless for the majority of Europe. The plus-rebates for some titles have been there for a long time. Now the Silent Hill Demo may be freely available for the inhabitants of most European Countries, but for us Germans the country disallows content that is adult rated to be freely accessible and so you can only download the demo if you are a plus member as you have to pay for the service. It is a small perk but a perk nonetheless.

Now if only they could also show us how large the games are as the US-Store does or even which languages are included in the download. It took me almost a week to find out if LBP was also in English in the download version. But since Unit 13 was completely without English and started in French when the system was in English I never buy games blind. I liked Escape Plan but never finished it. I did however massively enjoy Uncharted. Then there was a little gap. Gravity Rush didn't work that well for me. But with rebates I really enjoyed Hot Shots Golf and ModNation and also Motorstorm and that Blob game. Even the free Ecolibrium is quite nice - for a free game that is. Also very nice: First telling me I need to play this overly amazing game and then spoiling several events which sound like they are pretty big plot points in the story. That's a quality article right there.
Also if you are going for it to 'look nice' make it not stutter when scrolling. I found the old store far from perfect but the usability of the new one is terrible.
