Ps3 doesn't require Plus for online gaming.
Shivering Isles cost the same as the Destiny "Expansion Pass", which is both expansions.

Sure maybe they aren't the same size even combined.
But this is how console DLC works nowadays. It isn't cheap.
My point still stands that this content is more than your regular DLC map pack.
It isn't an MMO. Bungie said it isn't an MMO. Anyone who thinks it is an MMO doesn't know what an MMO is. (HINT - MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER). It has RPG elements and some things that are common to MMOs, but it isn't an MMO.

The millions of people playing this game daily more than a month after release prove that it is a success and being enjoyed.

I'll give you the story argument, but enough with the repetitive argument. Every other game you are repeating the same tasks after the first 10-20 hours. There aren't hardly any games that constantly provide you with new things to do week after week.

What does that prove? Not much.
How much time you spend playing the game has nothing to do with the story. How much fun you have playing the game has nothing to do with the story. In GTA games, there are infinite amounts of fun things to do... but that has nothing to do with the story (I'm not saying GTA games lack story, just an example that content does not equal story).
So, yes I'm okay. My point still stands. Why was Destiny bashed for a lack of story, but it is okay in this game?

I think you guys have bad memories in regards to what games we got for free with PS Plus previously.
PS3 games given away for free in the first year of PS Plus. Keep in mind that the PS3 was already out for 4 years before PS Plus even came out. So, they had 4 years of a game catalog.... but we didn't receive AAA titles really from those.

I'm not sure why the gaming community keeps hyping all these games up with unreal expectations, then they just shit all over the games once released. They expect all these games to be revolutionary just because there are new systems. It doesn't happen like that.
NPD doesn't count the bundled copies. Also MS was giving away any game for free, Destiny included and those would count.
PS4 has more exclusives currently. The have more exclusives in the pipeline. They have way more first party studios.
If graphics didn't matter, why even release new systems?
