I had about 1/3 of my PSN friends list playing Destiny yesterday when I was on. I think most people are loving it.
I think big name game sites reviewers are pissed because they weren't allowed to review it early. Then there are Bungie haters. I'm sure there are some legit haters as well, with two biggest issues being story and social.
It isn't an MMO. You cannot play/interact with a massive amount of people at the same time.

PvP means player vs player, the Crucible.
Once you finish the story, you need to gear up to take on new content. There is a raid that requires you to be high level to succeed in.
Instead of buying a table to put my PS4 on, I just bought 5 extra and stacked them up. Then put my console on top.

I don't think you need to do any PvP to reach max level. I'm 25 and I haven't gotten any light gear from PvP. I'll be able to hit 26 without it, and I think raid gear will take you to 30 from that point.

I could careless what anyone thought the game was supposed to be. I can only judge it for what we were given and in my opinion it far surpasses any other game released on the PS4 except for maybe the Last of Us. It has more content and a variety of things that most games.

If they have to purposefully go out of their way and spend their time trying to take down the servers. I don't see that they are proving anything.
If it wasn't for them, I'm not sure we would have heard about the servers being offline.
