Expect Microsoft to say that it was a mistake...after seeing the lower game sales report at the end of the month. lol

lol David Callahan is an idiot, does this guy think that it's DLC that people pay for? I think they're going to damage their reputation to insane amounts if this doesn't get resolved and ends up in court. You know us gamers with our memes. ;)

I'm sorry, man, but the truth is that the Wii U's power cannot compete against next gen graphically. Yea, it can run all these engines but the PS3 and the 360 can also run Frostbite 3...will that make them equally as powerful as the PS4/Xbox One? Nah, it doesn't work that way. I'm not going to judge you because you own the Wii U. I would love to own one, too so I can play all those great first party titles you're getting. It's that I just wish Ninten...

I agree, it's the fact that it's not made by the original developers that makes you hope that Killer Instinct is as good as the ones from the 90s. Plus I don't like the developer's history, but if Rare is helping them out then most likely this will stay true to the original. Performing some of the craziest combos in any fighting game being the main thing. But all in all, I hope it turns out great. I was a big fan of the original, even played the arcade versio...

Those are first party developers that I was talking about, which are owned by Sony. Though you are right, developers do have a part in it, Sony are the ones that manage what they create. A lot of these games we see are only made because Sony allows creative freedom, they let them take risks. These developers understand the risks they're taking and try doing their best to express how creative they are. Did you know that Naughty Dog was creating an RPG at the start of the PS3's lifetime...

I'm guessing they want to start designing the PS5 as early as possible to keep it with whatever current tech is present. I expected it to be more than 8 years, maybe 10, but I understand if they want the Playstation brand to keep being updated. The good news is that we'll be seeing 4k resolution gaming earlier. And knowing Sony, I know they'll end up making the last years the best of the console. Just like the PS3 has The Last of Us and the upcoming Beyond Two Souls.

I agree, how can they place first with the original Wii then just come out and try repeating the process. I bet that if Nintendo came out with a gaming console that has true next gen console gaming similar to the PS4/Xbox One...they could of held a lot of ground right now against them. They keep saying that the touch gamepad has so much potential but they fail to realize that gamers won't fall to the same formula again. The formula of, "it's the way you play, not the power of the...

True, whatever ends up happening, the Witcher 3 will still be a game with so much rich story that it doesn't really need a sequel. Plus all of the choices you'll be able to make, it will be like 2 games packed in one just like Witcher 2. I guess I just loved what they did with the world that when the time comes, it might be too difficult to let go.

This was Nintendo's peak, when they were making something new and interesting everytime. Ocarina of Time was comparable to Leornado Da Vinci's works of art...it was a masterpiece and though time keeps ticking, it will always remain one. And every few years I replay this masterpiece, saving Hyrule, a land crafted with depth and color, always derserving to be saved time after time again.

No, you are a fanboy, you just haven't realized it yet. lol Things like protecting "teh clouds" when there is no video proving it's power yet. Did you know Microsoft tried forcing online DRM, treating gamers like thieves? Even forcing Kinect 2.0 when they have rarely shown any gameplay of it. So why make something mandatory when they have not shown how it works for gaming. Wait, you don't care because: A, you're not part of the core, rights don't...

After playing the second one and seeing how amazing the game was, this made it to my top 5 most wanted games next gen. Even though this marks the end of Geralt's story, basically the last book...I hope CD Projekt RED takes everything they know about the world and create a brand new story after the 3rd so it wouldn't be the end of the world Geralt lives in. :P

lol I think you're in the wrong article. Nobody was talking about Xbox Live vs PSN till you brought it up.

On topic: Haven't seen a chart that doesn't have a Call of Duty in it. I hope this is the last one with Battefield 4 coming out soon. It deserves it more than the upcoming Ghosts, even Battlefield 3 deserves it more than Black Ops 2 right now. All the work DICE put in that game, you know?

lol I think they tested a bunch of monkeys because they couldn't find any "hardcore" Call of Duty players around. lol Nah, I'm just joking but I honestly don't believe this at all. New gamers as in people that touched a game controller for the first time or having few years of experience? Or kids that enter the gaming world with mostly shooters? Either case, SMB is still a game with the most basic mechanics, easy to learn with a few tries. I think they only gave them one...

lol I think you need to calm down, dude. Apparently if you disagree with someone, he's just a little kid to you. lol Didn't you read my comment? I said I don't support timed exclusives overall, it's meaningless and adds nothing to the game you buy. Especially with online games with timed DLCs, you're still going to have fun with it or without it. The reason MS is getting bagged for it is cause they started the idea of it when it's pointless and adds n...

You really like protecting MS on everything, even if it benefits no one. Exclusive content is different than paying for timed map packs that eventually will be played on the other console. It's manipulating with people's skill to be patient, adding unecessary set backs and no advantage at all. Nothing that differentiates from the other, we're all going to end up playing the DLC no matter what. It's just the cheapest way to gain a few impatient gamers, nothing ...

The funny part is that timed exclusive DLC doesn't really much factor into deciding which version to buy. Pretty much Microsoft payed EA for nothing back. Everyone's going to buy it on their console of preference. And I never supported timed exclusives, not even when the PS3 got BF3 DLC one week early. I think it's meant to piss gamers off with very little patience. I hope next gen EA and Activision are the only and last ones to do this. I hate to see other games having timed excl...

True, why add this on the Xbox One when we didn't see much positive impact on the 360? Now that it's a mandatory add-on, it killed many sales and those buyers went to the PS4. That's why a few people say that the Xbox One is the PS4's best advertisement, they see it then they run to the other side. There were very few good games for the Kinect and most were for the casuals. I wonder how many games on the Xbox One will be worse because of it. And I know, the Kinect 2.0 is impro...

lol Nintendo, I remember getting the N64 when I was a kid and loving Nintendo for their incredible catalogue of games I can never forget about. I actually owned every Nintendo system except the Virtual Boy and the Wii U. And my earliest memory was Super Mario Bros 3 on the NES. It's sad that they slowly started to become this, like they're trying to self destruct, not knowing what's best for themselves or anyone. Always hoped they would make a comeback but with this new face, I th...

When they pay attention to the fans and the core, they get good in return. Us gamers, we're the consumers, we're the ones opening up our wallets and buying these products. Sony knows they did good by listening to us, they're giving gamers and the developers what they want. And as a gamer, I feel good for the future of gaming, especially for the PS4. And hopes that they still keep listening to what we have to say in the future after launch day.
