Sony is very smart to start this early to make a new disc format. Not only are they preparing for the Playstation 5 to add higher resolutions fit into one disc but this gives them time to find ways to make the new format easy to produce. Most likely it will be backwards compatible with BluRay players, adding different resolutions for different kinds of players. Consumers love flexibility if it saves them money or gives them more choices if they want to upgrade or not.
That's true just like playing Borderlands with 3 other people is very enjoyable but having the option to play solo in every part of the game has it's benefits, too. There's people that will just want the challenge of completing missions on their own, testing their abilities. And we still don't know how experience sharing in a group will work. Maybe defeating a minor boss alone will give you more experience points over doing it with someone else grouped up. To be honest, many p...

I'm pretty sure almost everyone here watched the E3 gameplay but it shows how they moved away from the linear levels. You'll be able to tackle missions in any order you want because of the open maps. Gameplay has really improved but I want to know more about the story. Hopefully they add more emotion and depth to the new characters.

"...in June [2011], Microsoft was granted a patent for ‘legal intercept’ technology designed to be used with VOIP services like Skype to ‘silently copy communication transmitted via the communication session."
So why did Microsoft file a patent in 2011 th...

Those people will be able to play PS4 games on their Vita. The graphics will be downgraded but that's a huge catalogue coming up. Buy a PS4 game, you get a Vita version, too pretty much. Wait, are you butthurt? My bad, I forget Xbots are too delicate. LOL
lol Direct quote from Xbox Support.
"Your Xbox One friend's list will be your Xbox One friend's list. Your Xbox 360 friend list will be your Xbox 360 friend list."
The way it's put, both consoles will have seperate friend lists according to console. Either that's how it is for now or Microsoft needs to clarify this but as worded, it's separate. Maybe people that own an Xbox One will automatically be friended with people that just...

You can party chat on a PS4 without a subscription, that's new info and is better than Xbox Live's party chat which you have to pay. This means you can play free to play games while party chatting, still be able to use online features without paying. Free vs $60 a year, which one is better? And don't give that Xbox Live is better crap, plus you definitely cannot say it this time around now that it's equal except you can party chat on the PS4 for free...

GDDR5 is better at transferring large amounts of data compared to the DDR3 while the DDR3 is better at transferring small amounts of data compared to the GDDR5. That's the most simple way of saying it. The thing is that in order to future proof the console, the PS4 uses GDDR5 so when data amount increases in the future, the PS4 will have no problem to quickly transfer that data around. As for the Xbox One, it will become slower transferring data unless compressi...

Most Playstation gamers don't care about extra devices, that's why all of that failed to deliver. That's why the Vita failed to deliver to a majority. What Playstation gamers love is having a wide variety of exclusives and Sony knows how to deliver when it comes to that. And they have shown to be very consistent with dishing out exclusives. I can't say the same with Microsoft, look at the 360, great start, nobody can deny that but terrible ending when it...

It is true, you can use USB drives to save data on it but you all fail to realize is that USB drives are way more expensive than hard drives. A 512 gig USB drive will run you $1,750 (check the link) but a 1 TB hard drive can run you less than $200. And if you disagree then you're clearly in denial because I just linked proof that not being able to swi...
This feature can only work out if you can stream the content you own from your cloud. Otherwise it's kinda useless since saves only take some megabytes of space and gamer profiles are easily downloaded with one sign in. But you know what's funny, if you can stream games from your cloud and people utilize that, doesn't that go back to an always-online console? The option is there, you don't need to use it but Microsoft's answer to limiting the Xbox One's HDD making it u...
Resident Evil 2's cutscenes are more photo realistic than this. Goldeneye's weapons in-game were more photo realistic than this. Nothing special here.
@GameCents
You keep missing the point. lol The people that buy a half-assed game are the same people that make it more popular than it should be. What would you say if Saint's Row 4 was more popular than GTA 5? Rockstar put so much effort into GTA 5 but Saint's Row 4 somehow becomes more popular because of the gimmick of beating up people with dildos? They deserve to be bagged because they buy into gimmicks and the smaller changes. When you got Battlefield which is a much larg...
The M rating is probably only for making the crime scene and wounds more descriptive. Plus with 3D, searching for evidence in rooms with blood can be terrifying to some. The Phoenix Wright games always had darkness in them and that didn't stop the characters from having that unique charm. Hopefully it is M rated, it would make you really feel how a real life lawyer operates in the real world.
@GameCents
Did you even read the rest of my comment or a Call of Duty: Ghosts commercial came on and you got distracted? lol
Edit: It's because people tend to buy the same game over and over and not notice that it's just the same exact game with new guns and killstreaks while Battlefield always adds something new to the whole formula. And guess which one is popular? The one with the least effort put in, and that's why it deserves to be bagged. Wouldn'...
If you're a Battlefield fan then you know it deserves to be in the spotlight more than Call of Duty. I understand buying Modern Warfare 1, maybe MW 2 and World at War, but after that it's all just copy and paste games with no change to the engine. And the moving fish A.I. is another great example of where the focus is. Adding nothing special to the game again and trying to make it sound like a game changer.
Like a lot of people have said, many of the big developers we see today have started out as indie developers or worked with only a very small team. Sony's support for indie developers really guarantees that gaming is going to start growing and be more open for next gen. It really isn't going to be about how much money you put into something anymore. It's now going to be about how creative developers can be, even developers with the lowest amount of money to start with can still st...
Why even bring up that case? Yea, the way you say it definitely is more logical and reasonable, you simple minded fool.
lol This supports how the Kinect can make a good game worse if motion controls are used. Imagine all the Kinect games that could of been much better if controller buttons were used instead. Right now who knows if the Kinect 2.0 is any better since Microsoft were too scared to show any Kinect gameplay on stage at E3. I bet it was still a prototype when Microsoft first revealed it.
