Ok. At least your honest. Something very rare these days.

@ ScorpiusX:

If you haven't noticed lately. Microsoft rarely buys studios. With the exception of Mojang (Minecraft) and Lionhead (recently closed). They usually buy ips like in the case of Halo and Gears of War. With the bad Quantum Break sales, it's very unlikely that Microsoft will either buy them or any of its IPs.

Define commiting a disservice to those who have supported them since the start.

Sony perhaps? Quantum Break sales were not good. They just confirmed that Alan Wake 2 is not one of them.

So if this is a new IP in addition to Sea of Thieves. This continues to show Microsoft's total lack of faith in Rare's historic IPs. This cements the idea that those old IPs are to be preserved with Rare Replay. New entries in those IPs won't happen with the exception of the outsourced Killer instinct and Conker being used for Hololens.

I'm surprised to see so many people loved Knack. I bought it at launch at $60 and was very disappointed. The story was good and the game had some aspects to it that were good. I believe that playing that game at Hard mode and co-op probably would make for a better experience than what I had playing it. Yet, I think it was clear that the game was rushed. Very clear, even partly admitted by Mark Cerny himself. Knack 2, however, has no reason to be rushed and just because of that it will be ...

Aphrodite?

It could be called God of Thunder with a new setting. Or be about which ever God of War there is in Norse mythology. Each mythology has it's own God of War.

Doubtful about Kratos brother. Did you play the psp game Ghost of Sparta?

I agree with you 100%. I love Kratos to death. But a new character and world might be what's best. Imagine if it can be as epic as Kratos' story.

I hope that it's not open world. We have plenty of open world games. This franchise would not work in open world. We also need big cinematic and spectacular linear games like God of War 3.

I think it will be called not "God of War" but "God of Thunder." Norse mythology this time around or Egyptian. I think the Norse mythology probably has more potential if it's also partly inspired by Marvel's Thor.
Would be cool. I can't imagine how they could continue with Kratos after 3.

This is not a big deal. Companies decide whether something is financially viable. There are costs in making Xbox one versions and if the returns based on franchise sales on Microsoft's platform don't even cover the costs or are barely profitable then it should be understandable that they pass on an xbox version.

Besides Playstation has always had most of Japan's fighting games as exclusives. So anyone that likes Japanese fighters would have bought Playstation in t...

@ scarecrow:

Its very clear why the Tomb Raider decision hurt ps fans more. The Tomb Raider fanbase is mainly in Playstation. That has always been the case. Tomb Raider reboot and Definitive Edition more than 50% sales came from ps4 and ps3 versions. Almost 75% of total sales actually. So its clear where the fanbase is.

Street Fighter's fanbase is also mainly in ps based on past game sales. The fanbase long abandoned Nintendo as no more Street Fighter gam...

Exactly. Too bad many don't get it. This is also going to explain why the PS4 will get a lot of 3rd party exclusives much more easily than the Xbox One.

@KNWS

yeah, tell Microsoft to stop the spin. Why can't they give game sales to further celebrate this achievement?

I won't laugh either way. Some of Sony's franchises have also sold worse as years passed like Resistance for example.

It's also called curiosity. You don't have to be a fanboy to just want to know how a big franchise is doing.

3765d ago 6 agree7 disagreeView comment

But Sony shows game and hardware total sales. Microsoft doesn't. So...they actually don't behave the same

3765d ago 9 agree5 disagreeView comment

Sony did with Bloodborne when they said $2 million after exactly a week. Sony also gave The Last of Us numbers after The Last of Us Remastered released.

good reference @DarkOcelet

wow we didn't have to wait too much.

3765d ago 10 agree3 disagreeView comment

That's correct. The game missed sales target. Otherwise it would have been broken down to include exact game sales data to further celebrate the achievement.

It's a pr spin of the finest kind
