that's right. anybody that sees this. don't think, just buy the game!!
I think the strategy is clear. To put those PS4 exclusives that are no longer selling because they've exhausted their sales potential. It brings these to a new audience as well as enhances the value of PS Now for PS4 users. So They'll start with 2013 and then move slowly from there. It'll take years for many PS4 exclusives to show up there.
@ threefootwang:
research shows it was considerably slower for Xbox One than PS4.
Please, don't make me waste time and post the facts.
2015 slow for PS4 with these games:
The Order 1886
Bloodborne
Mlb The Show 15
Until Dawn
Tearaway Unfolded
??? am I missing something, all AAA
@ septic:
well to be fair you were very critical of the PS4 on 2015, it's second year when it released some very awesome games like:
Bloodborne (Arguably still one of the best exclusives with not a single exclusive on Xbox touching it)
Until Dawn
Tearaway Unfolded (extremely unappreciated)
and a somewhat disappointing game (although not for me):
The Order 1886.
all the listed g...
@DAEMONIFEAR:
If you really researched a lit bit. You would see that since 2013 the PS4 has had more AAA, Indie, and Japanese exclusives than the Xbox One. Including plenty of AAA games outside the 4th quarter that had no competition on the other side of the fence because there were none save Quantum Break once. It was the same with the PS3 versus the X360. I take it you prefer the Xbox, but don't defend it with made up facts.
@ Woolly;
Are you aware that Sony has 10 studios versus 5 of Microsoft's?
Sony has 2 studios in Japan, and one of them only does Gran Turismo. The rest 8 studios make AAA western games and they've produced these ips;
God of War
Uncharted
The Last of Us
Sly Cooper
Infamous
Killzone
Horizon Zero Dawn
Little Big Planet
Driveclub
etc...
I second that Overload,
Crackdown 3 was revealed in 2014. It's 2017. We shouldn't have to wait for E3 to get an update on this one
That is a problem. I still believe based on lack of footage that some of the Xbox exclusives will delay to next year or cancel.
Consider that Fable cancelled after a Beta. If Sea of Thieves doesn't have a succesful Beta it may be next.
Others may delay. Where is the gameplay footage that shows real progress for Crackdown 3?
@ DAEMONIFEAR:
Please do some research next time:
2013:
God of War Ascension
The Last of Us
Sly Cooper 4
MLB The Show 13
Rain
2014:
Infamous Second Son
Little Big Planet 3
Mlb The Show 14
2015:
The Order 1886
Bloodborne
Mlb The Show 15
Until Dawn
2016:
Un...
Totally agree with EDMIX,
I've always thought the same. Install base has little to do with the sales of games made for hardcore gamers. It's the number of actual hardcore gamer install base that is much more significant and Playstation has the largest hardcore gamer install base of the 3.
Why did Erik7357 get so many disagrees? Was it something he said?
If this is true then it just confirms that Sony's Exclusive deals never allow the games to release on Xbox One later. Anyone that disagrees that Sony would do different would have to provide at least one example from the past that proves an exception to the rule.
So for those that only have Xbox, consider that Final Fantasy Remake will come first to PS4 and then to PC and that's it.
That's because in those 10 years Studio Japan has sucesfully released:
1. Pupeteer
2. Rain
3. Gravity Rush
4. Gravity Rush 2
5. Knack
6. Soul Sacrifice
etc...
The Studio is made up of many different teams. It's the largest studio Sony has in terms of employees.
@ It MATTERS:
Vgchartz begs to differ:
Uncharted 4 has over 8 million sales just retail. Halo 5 is at around 5 million. What is your source if you disagree?
Ask your friend Phil if you need to.
@ Razzer:
I second what you say. If Sony had only 5 studios making sequels to the same 5 franchises. I would move on as well. Sony has the variety of games and risks making new ips, and that is what has me in their ecosystem
@ItMatters:
Well think about it,
add the 3DS sales (50 million) to the WiiU sales (13 million) = 63 million. Since Nintendo is merging home console and portable. I enough of the Nintendo portable consumers buy the Switch which is also portable. Then the Swirtch might outsell the Xbox One before long. Not impossible.
@ KionicWarlord222:
Sony is responsible for 3 first party games so far:
1. Gravity Rush 2 (Studio Japan is a Sony 1st party studio, now you know)
2. Nioh (published by Sony in the west, therefore exclusive in the west to PS4, not that in Japan it would go multi anyway)
3. Horizon Zero Dawn
4. Mlb The Show 17 coming in March
@ It Matters:
Quantum Break did 2 million? source please. vgchartz s...
@ KionicWarlord222:
Those Xbox one games need to be confirmed. NO guarantee they are coming in 2017 either. Remember that Scalebound and Crackdown both were shown in 2014. They were included in every xbox one yearly line-up ever since and one of them was cancelled (Scalebound) and Crackdown is notorious for not having shown barely anything of the game. The reveal is 3 years old, why can't they show something? It has to wait for E3? Insiders said that it had troubled dev...
I still don't get it why 2015 is often ignored. It had these 5 exclusives that were all great and awesome:
The Order 1886
Bloodborne
Until Dawn
Tearaway Unfolded
Everybody's Gone to the Rapture
Only the first year was slow in reality.
