Good review. I already had this on the pc, but picked it up on the ds because I loved the game and heard it had more content. They did well with this version, and the MP especially is great fun.
The gameboy/game color sold nearly 120 million between them. The GBA sold over 80 million. Were these not profoundly successful?
I agree about Pachter, but it's quite ironic in your post that you make your own prediction, because you don't know either.
A big post about how you don't like pc gaming. No one cares Balt.
Story like Resistance? Because it's got aliens invading? Did Resistance not "borrow" from any other story ever made about aliens invading?
It's not original, it's been done millions of times before in films, books and games. Half Life for instance, so I suppose Resistance must have copied Half Life by your way of thinking.
Well it's a shame you don't like fps games, but you are obviously in the minority. Oh well, I'll try not to cry into my pillow tonight over that fact.
The fanboys flock to any article that is negative towards Nintendo. They love it, they're like flies around shit. Nevermind the fact that one guys experience of the launch is a tiny part of the overall story, it doesn't matter. It's an excuse to tell everyone that Nintendo is going to fail, and they love to do that.
When a positive article filled with hard facts turns up they will mostly stay away, with a few die hards posting about how the ngp is better and they ...
The whole game was genius, it was so original. A shame the devs went out of business, it deserved a sequel and maybe the game would have got a bit more support as the bugs it had were one of the only bad things about it.
I've gotta agree about Stalker, the games (the first game and also COP) were so atmospheric. I don't think a single game comes close, nothing I've ever played has filled me with dread like those games have.
The first time you go underground and encounter a bloodsucker......brrr.....that moment stays in your mind forever.
Oh boo hoo, what a shame.
Guess what, everyone has to pay to live - rent, tax, council tax, food, clothes, everything. I personally have very little left when all is paid out, I still don't pirate.
Your excuse for pirating is weak.
The Samorost games and Machinarium were great. I'll be interested in anything else they make, especially Samorost 3.
The guy who wrote this article doesn't have a clue what he's talking about. Sounds like he's got a chip on his shoulder and wanted something, any reason, to take a shot at Valve.
Psp had GTA didn't it?
'i wonder what that will do to nintendo '
Not a lot.
Using a pic for hits? It's a blog, not another website.
No game is perfect.
No, most pc gamers thought the game was great. The minority had your view.
I'm gonna get mine soon, can't wait. Looking forward to playing Pilotwings.
It's also on the ps3 isn't it?
The only decent videogame to movie adaption I can think of is Silent Hill. It was surreal and weird, just like the game really, but it was well done. I can't think of any others that were any good. Doom had some good moments but it was pretty bad overall.
