2011 will be a golden year in gaming. I won't list the games, it would take too long, but there is a lot for one year.
The fact that it has been ignored so far is a bit of an insult tbh. If they've done it to be edgy or different is more of a shame on gaming awards this year than a shame on Destructoid.

I agree. As long as it has that same comic book/John Woo feel to it I don't mind where it is. It's taking a long time but I'm hoping it's up to the previous games quality.
I might have to dig out Max Payne 2 again, it's been a while since I've played it.

Morrowind was amazing for its time, I played it to bits. But the same can be said for Oblivion. They are different in many ways and each has flaws, the fact is though I'd much rather play Oblivion today than I would Morrowind.
Having said that, if I'd never played Morrowind it would be a joy to play right now. But I've played both to death and I started a new game on Morrowind the other day and it seemed a chore to play.

So many great Ninty games to choose from. It would be a hard task to try and break it down to the top 25.
So when I was playing the highest rated game of the year on my wii, and other people were playing games of lesser quality on other consoles, I was saving the planet more!

Considering UC2 was a beautiful game anyway it's going to be hard to top it and judging from this video it's only slightly better at the moment. Plenty of time for more to be done though.

The day the servers go down for this game will make it only half the game it is. It's an excellent game even without the unique online side to it, but a lot of the fun and what makes it so special is the way online is implemented. I hope they keep the servers going until the next generation of consoles.
I feel sorry for any gamer that buys it when it's not supported online anymore. Which means if you haven't played it, go and get it now!
I've got used to playing fps's on a gamepad but it still feels a bit weird. I'd prefer to be able to play them on k+m, put it that way.
Upgrading every year is also a luxury, you don't have to. The last time I upgraded my pc was nearly 2 years ago which cost me just over £100, the last time I updated my pc before that was 4 years ago.
My pc can play pretty much every new game at max settings. I'm going to buy another graphics card next year, which I will pay at most £150, and it will keep me going for another couple of years.
