Definitely one of the better novels based on a game I've ever read. The combat taking a backseat to story and character development was exactly what they needed to do.
How's this going to make the game more or less fun?
I love these articles, until I start reading the fanatical fanboy back and forths, which takes it out of me pretty quickly.
You want it to look the best? Drop some dough on a game worthy PC. Bickering back and forth about 640p or 720p on 4-5 year old consoles when computers are running GPUs a good 10x more powerful than what the 360 or PS3 are packing is just silly. Of course they're going to have...
I read Martyr a few weeks ago, good stuff if you're looking to dig into the Dead Space universe. Goes over the origins of The Marker, how they found the first one, and some pretty crazy reveals regarding Unitotology's "Founder". Hopefully they'll have more novels down the line.
It's hilarious to me that they want to gauge popularity for a sequel, yet they only release it on a single platform.
It's irrelevant to me personally tho, I'll just keep playing the PC version if I need to go back to BG&E.
What, no Kinect "enhanced" Halo title this fall?
Slow year for MS, which is pretty crazy all things considered. Yeah, there's a lot of multiplat titles coming down the pipe, but as far as exclusives this is definitely the year of Sony. It'll be interesting to see if that has any long term affects on hardware sales in the U.S.
Microsoft is actualy releasing a development SDK for the Kinect on the PC, which is crazy to me. Sure, it's pretty cool as a gimmick, and my kids love it on the 65" TV where they can dance around without a controller, but on the PC seems like something that would get old fairly quickly.
I've only played the demo, game seems alright, maybe even really good, but I've heard the campaign is in the 5-6 hour range, there's no campaign coop, only horde mode, although they're already planning DLC to add more play modes (figures). All in all, seems like a solid $30-$40 title for most people. I'm going to wait until it hits $40 on Amazon, then use my $20 credit from Killzone 3 on it.
I think they'll probably just scale back the size of the world so that it fits on a single DVD. Each DVD on the 360 carries an additional licensing fee, and most companies like Bethesda would rather just cut content than pay the additional licensing.
To meet the ongoing demand for "more streamlined, less challenging" games, Dragon Age 3 will be a physics based puzzle shooter using the Move/Kinect where you also must match 3 gems.
No word on a PC version.
My money's going for The Witcher 2.
"By the way, I can't not have a cigarette for less than 2 minutes while I make this video."
Looks good, hopefully Skyrim doesn't continue the ongoing tradition of Elder Scrolls games shrinking in land size with every new sequel.
Given our current state of government and financial instability, the U.S. does seem to be moving down a path of self-destruction. Maybe Homefront doesn't portray the end game of that situation, but honestly, unless we can get our shit together, I can't say it would be 100% out of the question.
Anyone remember Chicken George from the first season of Big Brother U.S.?
Hotz kind of reminds me of that guy, attention whore to the extreme.
I am curious to see if they can make Kinect work for hardcore gamers. Move works great for Killzone 3, so Sony obviously has a grasp on having their motion control tech work in the core gamer market, so it'll be interesting to see what MS announces at GDC that might appeal to the same group.
Between piracy and used game sales, it's hard to believe Activision sold 18 million copies of Black Ops.
When Halo 4 Dance Party is announced, all will be forgiven.
In other news, sassy talking black man shreds $60 new PS3 release that would have been worth at least $35 in trade-in value in hopes that he gets enough clicks to justify doing it while he heads off to play more Halo Reach and Madden.
HI-larious. This guy is a jackass.
Haven't seen it in 3D, but the Move support in KZ3 is awesome, intuitive, and makes aiming a lot easier.
The first game was completely underrated on the Wii, hopefully this one does better on other platforms.
Oh you mean like Halo 3 on the Xbox 360?
Stop being an ass.
