I played the alpha, and felt the game movement was too fast. They should've pulled it back and made it more like Gears of war in character speed. I know it would've been slower. The starting prologue where you're walking through the mountains, big mobs, larva everywhere etc, felt so epic, but you ended up moving so fast through it, that it was a big loss of design.
Then I got to the point where you get a larger map and can fly, the game felt boring right away. ...
I don't even play online but for £4/Yr I signed up to someone's family group. It would be rude not too.
I found tew2 to be a copy of ideas from many games and didn't perfect any of them. Felt like it wanted to be re4, with silent hill and the last of us. But felt clunky, and poorly done.
Only played re2 demo, so can't really be fair in comparing. But didn't really think much of tew2, other than it was way better than the first.
Are these the same guys who own Game in the UK?
My local stores the females are very friendly while the guys are hit and miss. But the thing that puts me off wasting my time in their stores is the cost of products.
I can buy a new release for about £35 pre order, or week own purchase for about £37. Game here has it £45 online £50 in-store ... So the convenience of going in store costs you more.... ,,!,, (-_-)
Seems really niche to upset many people. Guess any news is worth printing...
I do hope they release the 3rd one as a remake. I played the original when I was like 11, but I don't really remember much from it. Just that you had to blow up a building. Don't really want to replay the original if they are gonna remake it.
We have 5 consoles (ps4. Xbox one, one s, PS4 pro and Xbox one X) to pick from ranging from weak to average to strong and you tell us the two powerful consoles from the 5 is the best place to play em. Give this person a gold star!
Looks interesting. Will keep an eye on it. But will let the reviews come out first before I consider a purchase.
Man that's rare to get unlockable cheats in a game now adays. Usually costs you a few bucks for that privilege.
But the flying in the alpha was the worst aspect for me. The shooting was 2nd. So I doubt I'd see much interest here.
Didn't they say it would take roughly 10 hours per character?
The demo took me 19mins to complete and I was brisk walking it. I'll pick this up when it's under £20, instead.
I didn't take note. But some of the areas were just there as a filler. Was the prologue I mainly noticed that. I didn't manage to last long enough in the beta to really get the details. I gave up after about 45minutes, I just wasn't entertained at all.
I played the alpha and you end up flying past a ton of scenery. That, map size isn't really gonna be that impressive when tons of it is un used.
Decent dlc is welcome. But half the crap they put in 7 can gtfo.
Didn't find it that difficult. I didn't see a timer on the screen but I didn't stand about waiting for it to end either.
Completed the demo in 19m27sec.
The game felt great. But my first issue was the zombies looked/acted a lot like they came out of dead rising but just polished up a bit.
The demo was really short, but it was a good look at what re2 is on this gen.
It's like world of Warcraft trial. It's a level cap and no time limit. Of course restricted gameplay (no mail box etc).
The link you shared doesn't say anything about a 14 day trial and also Reddit comments say it's free all the way up to 35 with no timer.
I tried the game out ages ago with a 30 day free trial. Got to lvl 10 or so. Left it. Then read it'll be free up to lvl 35.
That wasn't true if you already have any sort of paid subscription in the last you can't access the content from 1-35. So I didn't really bother again.
But I am feeling another mmo after 3 years off Wow. Heard the PS4 version has keyboard/mouse support.
Will just make another account on my console to play lvl 1-35.
Ah, it'll still be a good way to experience both sides of the story. The whole scenario a and B on the original was mind blowing for its time.
That's not bad. Was curious if they were doing scenario A and B. Seems like they are!
From the demo. I'm unsure if 10hours is long enough between characters. The game did impress me on the scenery.
I think it's a community link between platforms. Like the Nintendo online mobile app, but cross platform with achievements, friend list and other bits.
If it ends up being that game pass on other platforms. That would be insane.
