I'm getting one because I want an upgrade. But these delays allow me more time to save for more games. I'll most likely get mainstream games to play with the family and next year will be when I get into the more story based games I like to play alone.
Future proof for a console means something different opposed to other tech. For a console it basically means will it have support, consumers and additions for at least 10 years. To my knowledge only two consoles had active life-spans longer than 10 years. The NES and the PS2, both consoles had games support and newer edition release for 10 years. The 360 is close, but I don't know if it will get many more games than ports after the XBone releases.

Probably sounds dumb of me but I rather like the fact that a few games I was looking forward too are getting delayed. There are only so many games I can afford after putting down $400 on a new console too many bills to pay. Gonna be eating rice and beans for awhile just to buy my PS4.
Why is it up to Amazon to fix something Ubisoft messed up? Ubi delayed the game not Amazon, why would they swallow a cost for their non-mistake?

But that is expected of a multi-plat games. Current gen it was okay to hate on the PS3, because it was industry wide, so who cares? But now that it seems that the PS4 might be superior due to extra band-width, it's not all of sudden okay to make fun or broadcast that the XBone is not quite the machine the X360 was during this gen compared to the PS3.
It would be bad business since a lot, if not all the multiplat developers and publishers simply made more money on the 360...

I don't think BF will outsell CoD on the current gen base. But I think XB1 and PS4 early adopters will not settle for something that looks slightly better than last-gen, so I think that is where BF4 will have a chance to not only beat CoD in sales but set themselves up to become the shooter of the upcoming generation of consoles.
