Good point, but that means you have to, in a sense train all the retailers on how to sell the DLC. I mean lets faces it we (N4G community) don't know when the DLC is coming and what it will consist of, and if we don't know you can be sure that the guys at gamestop will know less and it only gets worst at other retailers.
So true I want both as well. But the first Gears and not to mention Unreal games have sold extremely well considering the story for both is weak or non-existing. For Gears2 to have a strong story after the first was so weak can be a double edge sword. I think they should've implemented a well rounded story into the first and Improved on it, but to go from a shallow story to a Great story (Hypothetically speaking) can ruin the franchise if not done correctly.

well EPIC has never been known to be a strong story teller, so expect the game to be improved on the gameplay side only.
Of course I could be wrong but if you have solid Gameplay how important is a Story??
For this game to grab my attention it's gonna need to be solid. Because this month my game is GTA4 in June MGS4 if this comes out in may it better do something great to pry either game from my hands. Not to mention MP in both games, Haze has its work cut-out for it in my eyes.

MGO comes with MGS4 and the beta is happening in the US. Go to your local Gamestop ask them if they have any the the Bonus DVD's left for MGS4 and if they do Pre-order your copy and make sure to get the DVD before you leave. the beta-code will be inside the case.
Your gonna be pretty mad if you use the code next month since we're less then 2 weeks away from the beta.
If true that sucks, but it seems that its not the beta that seems to be unavailable, it just seems that you have a bunch of morons working at the places that are taking pre-orders. Because I was running through the same thing with my local gamestop, the guys that work there are idiots, they gave me like 5 different dates of when the Beta disc would be available. Some of the workers didn't even know a beta was coming.
If it wasn't for N4G I might have been A$$ed out for the beta....
Agreed Deep, I expect the same treatment for Resistance 2 trailers that they gave to Ratchet and Clank. All of R and C's trailer were made in house with their engine and Trailers for Resistance 2 should be no different. I love devs like Insomniac, truely gods amongst men.

The difference is that GTA DLC will be released in reverse order.
GT5P is being released first and it shows that people are willing to order appetizer before enjoying the main course when ever that is.
(PLUS there is nothing in the market for either system that holds a candle to the GT franchise following)
How long will a 360 consumer wait for Rockstar dessert when there will be more titles to arrive on the system. You have Gears, halo wars and Fable 2, the DLC...
Things can change, but the problem I'm seeing is that AMD/ATi are taking the same approach to their products that Sony took with the PS3. AMD/Ati have released some of the most Innovative and powerful products so far but harnessing the power has been very hard and not to mention that the current versions of Windows are a lot more friendly with Intel and Nvidia products then they are with AMD/ATi products.
The one thing I believe AMD/ATi should do is try to expand the Linux mark...
Actually there is. Since neither MS nor Sony own the publishing rights to GTA, as part of the 50 mil contract MS could've had some sort of package only clause in their contract. Pretty much the same way they negotiated on the DLC episodes, they could've done the same for Bundles and skins pretty much whatever they wanted. This is America with the right amount of money you can buy someone's soul, A bundle deal wouldn't have been that hard to do.
This unfortunately is one negative cost of competition, Nvidia will be damned if AMD/Ati wins at least one battle and feel they need to put out slightly better products in a shorter lifespan then normal. the only upside to this is that on paper these cards are f*cken awesome and some well made drivers for these cards will boost performance, but of course if you already spent $600 on a card you don't want to wait for drivers.
I just hope that ATi can pick up some steam and light ...
Who cares anymore? He got canned by Gamespot!!! No $**t. Unless this guy is gonna tell the public why he got canned stop saying the same $**T, over and over and over again. You lost your job, guess what, there are people who do much more labor intensive jobs that lose their jobs everyday. Its a part of life let it go and move on.
From what I have heard, only gamestop was suppose to get the Beta-code to give out with pre-order, could be wrong though.

Thanks for the reply. I just don't want be left out of the Beta, Im just a little paranoid cause I used to have a contact at gamestop that I can depend on, now I'm just left with a bunch of employees that don't know anything, especially when it comes to PS3 products.

But the factor your are not seeing is that the DLC content is suppose to make the decision of "Which one do I get" for you. If the DLC is not being promoted to some extent on the retailer, there is a chance of a potential loss of a sale. There are some people that have both the PS3 and 360 and not all of them know about the DLC.
