I feel your pain, but that is just the way the industry works. and its not just games. Look at the Ipod, PS3, 360 and other electronics, when they were first released they were more expensive then they are now.
Is it fair? NO!. But in the end to be the first people to own the lastest and greatest has a price attached to it. That just something that needs to be accepted or you'll drive yourself crazy trying to fight it.

QA isn't only test, test ,test (unless you work for a publisher, cause then it is) , but if you work for a developer you test the game (of course) but every once in a while the dev will ask for feedback and ideas on how to better streamline gameplay or other parts of the game. The only games having a problems with PSN are those who:
1. Don't know how to code for MP without having their hands held
2. Don't want to take advantage of the freedom PSN offers developers.

I've never said Gears copied any game and If I have then my bad. The thing that I have said about Gears is that the cover system is not original, but a more refined version of that which has already existed.
And this game uses the same cover mechanic but not as well.
But to say that this game is a Gears clone when they share almost nothing in terms of Story or overall experience is asinine.
