I;ve heard that the PSN cards are region coded. Meaning you can only spend the money for whatever region it was made for. It won;t convert the prices for you. So if you buy a Japanese card its only good for Japan. European card only good for Europe and so on.
I believe the only thing that can be used is your regular credit card for region free purchases.

On topic, I saw this video and was blown away, If this can somehow be implemented into videogames in a large scale it would be sweet.
I mean some games out there are using similar concepts but not to this extent, the first good/great game that gets this to work will have a place in gaming history..........the possibilities!!!

They never said "SH!T" games will be removed, they said "underperforming"(no t making money) games will be removed. Which sucks because there might be a few good titles in the bunch that get removed instead of discounted, which would not only hurt the devs of such games but gamers as well, because instead of missing a gem they could've got it at a reduced price.

I want to take Konami's side on this but I can't. First they had a bached MGO beta and now this. They went about this all wrong. What they should've done is the same thing they did for the LE of MGS4. Pick one or two Locations such as Gamestop for retail and Amazon for online, allowed them to take pre-orders and let those 2 stores deal with the headaches something this massive will (and has) cause/d.

I really don't agree with the title this story.
Because both Western and Eastern devs have their strengths and weaknesses. Here in the west Graphics and Physics reign supreme, but in the east Style and Scope seem to be the order of the day, with Story being a stalement and greatly varied by the talents of the writers.

Actually Activision and Red Octane had filed patents on a "band" and "drum" (and other variations) spin-off names of the guitar hero prior to Harmonix releasing "Rock Band".
I guess with Rock Band being the hit that it was it forced them to actually try to do something with those patents.
What really needs to happen in order to avoid this, is make every game-based movie animated. Animation and Gaming go hand and hand, animation just like videogames are not limited by what an actor on wires is limited to do. Street fighter, Mortal Kombat, Final Fantasy VII (even advent children) and there are plenty more that are just great when made into an animated movie. Once these games are made into live-action movies they tend to be awful to average, with more being on the awful side.
It was better cause people used to work together to reach gaming bliss.

Yes it is possible that Edge magazine simply took Kojima's words out of context. It happens all the time in the press when an interview is given and then written in the same language. So how is it not possible that it would happen when a story has an English interviewer, Japanese guest and a middle man who has to go between the both of them.

Instead of removing them they should just lower the price. Thats the main reason why these titles are suffering, they are just overpriced.
Lower the price and about 15 of these titles well sell about 1000 times better.
