If developers want to rip the right of physical media ownership away from their consumers, they themselves should be prepared to pay the dues of digital shelf space. Expecting the end user to front the money in the form of XBL model membership fees is double dipping into the consumers wallet.

I know I'm not even going to consider buying it until I can try it on both systems. If the multiplayer is good, it's an automatic PS3 purchase (or not at all) because I don't (and will never) have an XBL gold membership.

I agree it is still too hard to sort through the crap in LBP and there is a lot of it.
Why is it that even after the search overhaul, searching "Highest Rated" still yields nothing but garbage? Trophy whore level after trophy level. Clearly the user base is given far too much freedom with their use of gold stars. If users don't want to add their own opinion, their ratings shouldnt default to the status quo.
