I'd like to think it's laying ground work for something more substantial, but it could've waited until whatever it is was ready.
Or it could just be stupid.
No it doesn't
I agree. As much as I love BD as a video format, I think it's excessive as a storage medium. Especially with flash sticks already reaching hundreds of gigs while smaller than a lighter.
Japan certainly isn't they're so far behind in development, that they're struggling to push the Wii. They still don't know how to use the right stick on a controller to properly control the camera. In fact they don't know how to make a concise control scheme on par with modern standards.
Look at Resident Evil 5.
They've been sold out everywhere in Japan for weeks.
Definitely improved graphically. Nice additional lighting effects.
I still don't like the top down view. That's why I never liked GTA until 3
That's called a Product Return, not a Recall.
Even if this is 100% true, you can't blame EA.. they're in the right. You can't introduce a feature on a console that messes with legacy code. PERIOD.
That said. I don't buy it.
That's Xbox Live in a nutshell
Yeah.. I'm gonna pay for twitter and facebook...
Who makes these decisions?
I bought both my parents each a PS3. My mother a 40GB and my father a current 80GB. They're both quite happy.
The idea that streaming video will replace disc based video in the same manner that MP3 overtook CD is just silly. MP3 overtook CD because the vast majority of users are using tinny earbuds... not HDTVs costing upwards of several thousand dollars. Also the price of a (legal) MP3 is based on a per track basis. Buying an entire CD versus a single isn't often the best value for most people. That's not a factor with video. You buy a movie, you get the movie.
This doesn't even take in...
Just like the first one, I expect Uncharted 2 to be largely overlooked by the sea of idiots.
Probably is.
Talk is cheap. I don't want to hear what could happen when you have complete control over every aspect of the proposition. Make it happen or don't. Don't tell me about.
I have a 60GB myself and I've never regretted being an early adopter for that benefit.
I disagree though, I believe BC will definitely make a return to all PS3 units before the end of it's life. It's just a matter of the PS2's life ending first. The transition from PS2 to PS3 is taking ages compared to the almost immediate transition from PS1 to PS2. There are a lot of people to blame, and the consumers and developers (especially Japanese consumers and developers) are among them...
I don't think anyone wants to compete for all the trash found on the app store.
I really hate audiophiles.
Apparently people aren't aware of the history of why FFXI was on 360 instead of Xbox like it was planned to be. MS wanted to restrict FFXI to gold members, meaning 360 players would need to pay 2 separate fees in order to play. It took 2 years to resolve that issue and meant the game was released on Xbox much later than expected and is available to Silver Members to MS' chagrin.
It seems MS hasn't learned.
Not in Canada
