Their point is that hand animation could never feasibly reach the same effectiveness of procedural animation. It's not their studio versus everyone else, it's their concept vs. everyone else's.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure everything seen is the result of the dynamic theme applied. The music is clearly background accompaniment to the video. It's a nice theme though. Not that I'm gonna pay for it.
