This is news is it? I must have clicked on 2007 archives by accident.
Solid list. I wouldn't argue, except maybe with inFamous, which while amazing, I think would be better represented by Batman: AA.
The winner is Uncharted 2 anyway.
They're probably the 25% who weren't contributing anything anyway.
With all due respect to angered gamers and whoever wrote this; Activision made the game. Blame them. Tony Hawk is just a skater. He's had a good run as a game influence, but his accomplishments never needed to include that series of games.
Even if his name sake game fails, skating games will continue on as a sub-genre. Any new skating enthusiasts will drive business to his skating brands. Tony Hawk still has a vested interest in these games being made. He's probably just contrac...
There's absolutely no way to quantify it on any system. Far more people are accused of cheating than actually do. It's like asking which country has the most crime, but it's such a vague argument subject to relative terms.
Damn.. Multiplatform failures are always less interesting than exclusive failures.
Look at X-Blades.
Analog stick
I think if they mean to continue the franchise, it's going to require a major reboot. They need to humanize Lara a bit. Beatrix Kiddo is a great character for a movie, but she wouldn't sustain herself over 20 games.
Stop putting Lara up against friggin' raptors. Show that she could use a hand once in a while and create some new, interesting characters to lend that hand.
When people think of Crysis and PC games in general, they think of massively high resolutions supported by small PC monitors. The capability for consoles to run games at those resolutions is moot when the televisions they're played on cap at 1080p. Can consoles run Crysis at 1080p? Probably not very well. I think 720p is definitely plausible. Next gen will be 1080p at 60-120Hz across the board. The quality bar will be set by how much you can get on screen in that arrangement. I think that's p...
Spelling always counts; Even in first grade.
Is this European? Cause it's way out of touch. Both Oddworlds and RE2 and RE3 have been released.
Well, EA saw what Visceral has been doing on both pieces of hardware. They see what EA Canada is doing on both pieces of hardware. Worse, they see what other studios are doing.. and they closed Pandemic. Quel domage.
Established franchises rarely need to worry about new IP.
Who?
Not a whole lot of effort, huh?
The replicator is the Holy Grail
Well considering it's selling 3k a week on average across the entire country, I'd say no. It's fighting with the PS2 over there.
I keep hearing about a Trophy Sync issue.. what issue?
Calling God of War an endless series of repetitive combos is evidence of never playing the games. The games are a series of puzzles separated by combat sequences. They are entwined with a very compelling story seeded in Greek mythology and accompanied by a powerful orchestral musical score. It is not an encyclopedia of ways to kill things or a library of 70s porn music, but it is a complete package of epic media.
