Because every platform has it's strengths. And since we all have different priorities, those strengths have different values to us all. Therefore there's one platform that suits each of us the best.
Well.. I already bought a PS3, so I guess I'm immune to the black magic.
I'm curious how a game that has never been given release date in any territory could be called delayed.
Good to hear from Jaffe again. Glad to hear he's out there looking for the answers to some divisive questions.
I agree with his sentiment. I've never been an online player because every 15-30 minute game is exactly the same, it's so boring. The only thing people get out of it is watching their rank climb and their KDR fall. And since my rank never rises and my KDR never falls, it pretty much loses it's point very quickly.
There's absolutely nothing the Wii can do to win me back. I have no problem with the Wii or it's games except they look terrible on my television. I'd rather play PS2 games on my PS3 with smoothing on.
As soon as they release an HD console, I'll jump back on the train.
How does the ESRB system relate to movies and music? Or any kind of media outside of North America?
Elitism is elitism.
We're all gamers. Get over yourselves.
I'm so glad my hatred of Yoichi Wada is universal. He's Japan's Bobby Kotick.
In the US... (Still not the center of the universe.)
I think the second game was successful at replicating what made the first one so good, with improved visuals at that.
Unfortunately after that the series stubbornly refused to grow with the times and with technology. The atrocious controls that were suffered through the first two games really had no reasonable excuse for continuing on beyond the PS1 prerendered background days. RE5 is just pathetic.
While I totally agree that the atmosphere of the series has been g...
It does put a strain on the devs if they host the servers themselves. Obviously Sony factors that into their own model for games they make. Large third parties such as EA can and will subsidize the cost themselves for a time to improve their product over the competition. Many hand off the duty to specialty parties like IGN/GameSpy who can monetize the service in other ways such as ad-revenue.
Every dev has the option of charging a fee for their PS3 online service if they feel it...
It's true, OnLive is a gloried emulator with a subscription fee. It may bring gaming's recent past to the masses but it will never satisfy the core audience's need for gaming's present and gaming's future.
I find that EA sports games are only good for local multiplayer anyway. That will always be an option.
Further proof that all the hardware in the world is worthless without an artist worth his salt.
Has no one over there clued into the obvious fact that the only thing working for Square Enix are the things that have traditionally worked for Square Enix?
Stopping trying to get out of your box. You belong in your box.
It wouldn't sell in the UK. It's not worth the investment for any publisher.
Enjoy WiiFit though.
My guess is that it's an app to browse personal data stored on Sony Cloud, which you are using in say, Uncharted 2 but currently don't have direct access to.
Ha.
So speculation and conjecture is what you call 'the truth'?
You must be a lawyer or politician.
If you care about HD, I'm sure you already have another HD capable device that streams netflix in HD
