They didn't learn that lesson at all. They still only used 4 actors in F03. 2 men and 2 women. New Vegas seems to have a bit more diversity, but I'm still hearing repeats 2 or 3 towns over.

The game will be thoroughly dead before a plan can be drawn up where to go. To say the game is hemorrhaging players is an understatement and the only reason any continue to stay is because they're not paying anyway. Those who have stuck around can find nothing to do but the same inane guildleves over and over incessantly, all of which are essentially the same from rank 1 to 50.

Also Shantotto and Gabranth are no longer secret characters.

FFXI still thrives on console with an above average sub fee.
Fact is, people who like these games are well aware of the sub fees and are long since over them.
