How many people remember when DOA was a real game with built in content and a team passionate about making it a great game? This series is the most embarrassing example of DLC hell I have seen
I remain hopeful for this game, controlling sonic in 3D at the speeds they aim for has always been a bit janky if he was not on rails, which that was boring because it leaves the player with that "just hold forward" mechanic. With a properly sized world it may leave enough room for controlled chaos. Though sections of slower action and platforming are also a must
Sonic Boom the song is amazing. Sonic Boom the game/Show was straight up trash
lol they wont
Came here to say the exact same thing
imo buying any console for unannounced potential games is foolish. the size of these acquisitions is not debatable, the end results of what they will produce is. MS owns Gears and Halo still... without Bungie and the original Epic team behind those IP the games have not been the same, Id say Infinite is the first good Halo 343 has put out. These purchases have the potential to produce big hits but as of right now its just hype.
I don't know if Starfield will be a hit at all, or something that will sell consoles. Bethesda has been in a real shitty place with many of its IP, Doom aside. Fallout 4 was meh, and Fallout 76 was practically IP killing bad. their last big hit was what Elder Scrolls 4?
way too many down votes on this. its just simple math. the Switch has proven to be a real wild card and with a solid library of exclusives and a lower price point I don't see how anyone would disagree. I swear its like people think MS dropping 77 billion dollars on these acquisitions and "journos" writing articles is somehow going to sell consoles. Its not, games sell consoles, and Xbox is still repairing its image after XB1. There are massive shifts in mindshare that need to oc...
Xbox has made big moves in the last 12 months but PlayStation still has the upper hand in mindshare and good will towards the brand, this is globally not just in one region either. The things MS are investing in are chipping away at that but not fast enough to be the market leader in the next 12 months, thats how I see it. I personally play my Series X more then my PS5 for a number of reasons but I also own more games for PS5 then XSX. Right now Bethesda and the Acti/Bliz purchases are HUGE n...
so a shit infested dystopia? Yeah sounds like something Zucc would be involved with
Not without adoption, having played games since the NES I can tell you theres a bunch of us that will age out/opt out REAL fast if VR becomes the norm. Its really not what the majority wants
In Phil we trust. At least for now, I like this guy as a leader and it would be great to see Crash, Spyro and Tony Hawk continue on along with some others. Turn COD into a 1 every 2 to 3 years and up the quality
Ken is a visionary, always has been and in this case I completely agree. the "metaverse" is trash. Im not a fan of VR and really just see it as a gimmick
I'm mostly indifferent to this. This trend in the industry right now is concerning from some aspects but from my opinion MS can only buy whats actually for sale. Which means that in both cases Bethesda and now Acti/Bliz were in a position where their financial stability was in question. This was not some hostile takeover. Sure WOW and COD pay the bills but at what expense? Blizzard's recent track record with both WOW and Diablo have left a bad taste in fans mouths and Activision's...
I may be mistaken but I don't believe Microsoft can buy many of the Japanese devs. I read somewhere a while ago that Japan has laws that stop foreign multi nationals from buying Japanese based companies. Its part of the reason MS buying Sega or Nintendo (back in the day) never held water.
Is this some sad attempt to get this game attention, or do people actually care about this? The art alone looks like those knock off toys they sell in drug stores, "Action Super Medic Men" lol
PS3 games need more then just a frame boost. they need the resolution boost similar to what Xbox does for 360 games, and sadly some PS3 games due to their internal resolution and anti aliasing methods will never look right, may 546p upscaled to 720p with Quincunx Antialiasing, only be bad memories. I'd love to see PS2 games get a 4x resolution boost and 4x MSAA like Xbox 1 titles often get.
I'm interested in this. I really do want to see what/how Sony handles this. Is this a big backwards compatibility roll out, or just some streaming BS locked behind a paywall. Will the emulation be solid and offer the types of enhancements that Microsoft has for its older titles, or will it be trash like Nintendo online? If the PS3 titles are supported will the discs I have allow me to play the game (again like Xbox) and how far back will this go? I have over a hundred PS1 Classics from th...
First console was a Sega Master System, had an NES too, then Genesis. Though gaming did not really hit home for me until the original PlayStation (Saturn too), just seemed to have the exact mix of games, style and design in line with my interests. There is no doubt though that the PS2 era was the true peak of that climb started the gen before.
Cloud gaming is just another joke in the all digital future. Cloud gaming on Switch though lol its like a ultra low res slide show. Windows XP Media Player visualizers look better.
