I really hope this is a return to the series classic roots. More puzzles, back tracking, item management and a eerie story full of tension and cryptic notes, REmakes 2/3 were almost perfect if not for the missing content/areas/gameplay systems. hopefully with a proper script and directing so the delivery comes off solid. Its probably too much to hope that an open world Sonic capture the aesthetics and feel I got from the Sonic CD opening all those years ago. I really do lament the design shift away from that era. Old Sonic from Generations is probably the best classic design ever, but when they went with a more elongated design I wish they had leaned toward Sonic CD's edgy look.
Got this on preorder for PS5, Lodoss War is one of my favorite series mixing that with MetroidVania should be amazing!

This was VERY impressive but I was disappointed to see my XSX choking on the chaotic traffic crashes I was making lol. optimizations would likely fix this, I can't wait to see Gears 6 and FF7R2 running on UE5

PS5 has tons of exclusive games, Xbox needs more, and despite how impressive the demo looked it was still a very scripted reel with cinematic camera cuts. I just can't get past the stupid background of the character and setting. It does not come off as classic Isekai story telling, its more like bootleg Miles Morales but because its "her turn" and "muh patriarchy" so we get a gender swap for him, with a foul mouth. It feels like a california focus group designed these characters, setting and themes.
I don't dislike this game because of the characters race or gender, and having that be the reason you dont is beyond stupid.

This is a brilliant move on their part. it will not put additional strain on the console production by having to produce separate boxes and assembly of each color variant nor limit production numbers making "rare" colors, and it will stop scalpers from further capitalizing on that same scenario. make one unit, the consumer wants it in black, sell a extra set of black face plates to them for a nominal cost, both are happy.
These "journalists" often create the perception that their idiotic ideas are the prevailing thought but people don't realize that many of these writers write similar articles or push the same agenda for multiple pages making it seem like there are more of them. Anymore I see most journalism as either propaganda or grifters.
