My youngest son got me into playing this. The last couple of updates have made it nearly unplayable - the lag is horrible, and they've done something to the controls that makes it hard to maneuver. Between the two, my new high score is less than half of what it was before.
My current time-sink is Fallout 4 - I've apparently sunk 470+ hours into it since launch. I foresee that hitting at least 800 before I decide to put it down.
I can see the appeal - it looks really well done - but this one's not for me. My wasteland needs to look like a wasteland, rather than a city slowly being reclaimed by nature.
Well, I mean, obviously. Look how M$ had the shill at The Washington Post write that crap review that got added to Metacritic and took the overall review score down a whole point!!!
No. Absolutely not.
Eh, I don't really care if it wins awards or if everyone else hates it, but I've been playing since day one and have sunk about 400 hours into it. I honestly don't think I'll buy another game this year. If the console mods work out as well as they do on pc, then I may never buy another game again period.
Nice. I'd rather play these than any of the indie games that seem so popular nowadays.
I haven't stop playing Fallout 4 since launch, and while Very Hard difficulty was cool for a while, I am very much looking forward to this now.
Nice!
I found a new holotape game (called Automatron, can you imagine?) on a "gaming" terminal deep in the depths of the last area you go in search of certain... parts as part of the main quest line. The game's a Robotron 2084 spoof.
Well, it's really rather simple isn't it? The majority of gamers you see in comments and on forums (especially here at N4G) ARE entitled whiny little bitches. Boo hoo.
This is what happens when you pander to fanboys. So, thanks fanboys.
Space Invaders
The achievements in this game are super straight-forward. The only one I haven't got yet is the one for the settlement happiness, because I don't really care much for settlements. I suppose I'll bang it out one of these days.
I don't remember anyone claiming Dead Island was a Game of the Year, but it definitely has a GOTY edition. So, no, you don't need the award to repackage the game + all the DLC as a GOTY edition. But if that's what makes you feel better, then sure.
I wondered the same thing not that long ago when all of the 'Hideo Kojima meets with X' stories started showing up, so I went and looked him up. As it turns out, he's made a bunch of games that I've either never played or never even heard of. If he never made another game in his life I doubt I would care.
It surprises me (but probably shouldn't) that Bethesda has been mining the Fallout 3 mods for things to include in Fallout 4. From big things (like the settlement stuff), to small things (like the jet pack for the power armor), they all started out as fan-made mods for PC. Now they've taken the RobCo. Certified mod and are putting it out as the Mechanist add-on.
Personally, I don't care where they get their inspiration from, and I can't wait to get my mitts o...
Which is fine by me - let Bethesda focus on single player, Fallout doesn't need a tacked-on multiplayer mode.
Lol my 8 year old is going to be so sad.
I just traded my old 360 copy for the XB1 copy last night. My oldest son likes the multiplayer, and I loved the story so I'm looking forward to running through it again.
