Many PC owners cry foul when Xbox platforms "steal" their titles yet don't actually want to support the PC platform or PC developers.

If the trend keeps up when can look forward to PC getting more 360 hand-me-downs (and probably less) and later releases to ensure developers at least recoup their losses on the console versions.

As a longtime PC gamer it really sucks as great games such as System Shock 2 and Deus EX 1 aren't being built upon in any meaningfu...

The 360's lineup doesn't hold as much potential as the PS3's this year but it certainly isn't crap. Sony is only player still in the game that has released a console at $600 and MS or Nintendo aren't going to follow suit.

Only recently has XBL had extended periods of downtime so your claim of "XBL crashes like 4 times a year for extended periods of time" is complete nonsense.

Past action in not proof of future action (although it's often indicative). The original Xbox never made money and MS aren't about to drop the 360 when their Entertainment division has only just recently started turning a profit.

Marketshare is an important point and one that Silellak didn't mention. Sony has a far stronger lineage with far more marketshare than MS in the previous generation.

MS' inability to appeal to Japanese and Europeans tastes doesn't disprove the merits of a headstart, the hardware issues have hurt MS but the average person doesn't read the web religiously so they may be completely unaware.

If MS had released the 360 around the time of the PS3 it would be struggling wit...

is that many MS haters would likely support a theoretical Google/Yahoo merger regardless of less competition. People like any excuse to bash MS.

So what multimillion selling OSes has Sony created?

I see some people are still gullible enough to think Crysis is possible on consoles, last gen GPUs and only 512MB of RAM would make for a super gimped Crysis and that's if it is even possible at all.

Sad that EA bought out Criterion Games and RenderWare. Someone needs to come up with a middleware solution that works well on both platforms without significant tweaking but it is unlikely due to the difference in architectures.

Both Dark Snipers are good for a laugh.

NGS is 720p native and still has the rare framerate drop.

My Clix II suits me just fine. After the 360 I don't exactly trust MS hardware expertise.

Decent line-up. Alan Wake and Left 4 Dead are two 360 games I'm looking forward to.

Gates as the head of any eastern company would likely be a failure, western business is different to eastern business.

It is not possible to upgrade the 360's inbuilt DVD drive with a simple firmware flash.

I think the HD DVD addon should be binned and that be the end of addon players for 360 as they're not a factor for the vast majority of consumers purchasing decisions and do nothing for games.

I thought Warner going Blu was checkmate.

How does that solve the "quieter and smaller" issues and don't give the PS3 is silent crap, my HTPC is much quieter and that isn't silent either.

It was always easier to make games on the Xbox vs. PS2 but the PS2's huge installed based made it a much smaller issue.

Generally it's only Sony owned devs that make a big song and dance about how much better the PS3 is, that’s not to say the features aren’t great but they aren’t anywhere near the big deal first party developers make them out to be.

ND and the rest of the Sony exclusive studios would have never looked at a 360 as there's no way they were ever going to develop for it.

The Criterion Games PS3 vs. Xbox360 podcast had more merit and was somewhat impartial which is som...

Obviously the PS3’s installed base will only continue to grow but I don't think the two other console issues will be eliminated so easily, if they are eliminated at all.

I will be buying the PS3 for games AND movies but my parents, friends and relatives would prefer the eventually cheaper, quieter and smaller standalone players.

The fact that the PS3 can only game or play movies at the one point in time means many people will look to standalone players instead, I can just imagine all the pissed players out there with partners/spouses/family on their back to get off the PS3 so they can watch x movie.

The PS3 will help Blu-ray but ...
