Bad value compared to other 360 bundles and very bad value compared to the PS3 Slim which you can get with Uncharted 2 for $498AUD in Australia.
I think MS are getting complacent.
I'll never pay for digital clothing that has no entertainment value.
Maybe these people will start paying for their games (but I doubt it).
Because I don't want to give hits to this sort of FUD, Sony aren't going to abandon the PS3.
Some gaming sites have been saying its all doom and gloom for Microsoft and others saying the same for Sony, whatever gets more hits I guess.
Really sick of this crap choking up N4G.
Tried the demo on 360 and wasn't impressed, it felt slower gameplay-wise then the SDvR games and wasn't anything special graphically.
Considering both of the abovementioned points if I was going to get it I'd get it for PS3 because of the better D-pad.
Developers don't make decisions on "what ifs", the 360 is here to stay and is having far less of a negative effect tech-wise on the PS3 then the PS2 had on the original Xbox.
Don't blame developers for wanting good ROI, every company aims for it.
Considering how bad Square Enix published 360 games have been from a technical standpoint just imagine how bad they would have been on PS3 given the same resources.
If a PS3 port eventuates hopefully they put a lot more resources into it especially QA.
The first Killzone was mediocre and the 360 currently has twice the userbase of the PS3 in America (the home of FPS') not to mention Halo 3 was the third in a hugely successful series of games.
When you take into account the now far less expensive cost of the 360 base SKUs as well as the recession it doesn't look bad at all IMO.
is that most of them are PC pirates. Of the few Playstation fans I know most pirate PC games and use the old line "360 exclusives come to PC anyway" but forget to leave out the buggy mess that was GoW PC, DRM and issues with other games.
Developers just see each illegal download as another reason to make 360 exclusive games so thank you for pirating PS3 aholes it helps ensure developer support for 360 remains strong and decreases the chance of future titles appearing on...
I think the next Xbox will target the $350-400 area, they won't pull a Sony and release one of the most expensive consoles ever because we know what happened there.
I wouldn't expect Bioware to develop the PS3 version themselves and that almost always results in subpar ports.
Mass Effect had a few technical issues so it could have been be a real mess on the PS3 if it was ever released.
Since when did being the most complicated equal being the most advanced? The N64 was clearly better than the PS1 in many areas and the GameCube and Xbox were superior to the PS2 in graphics by a fair margin.
Well designed hardware empowers developers to make great software.
GoW cost $10 million to make and sold millions, last I read Killzone 2 cost around $40 million to make and I doubt it is going to outsell GoW 4 to 1.
ROI matters to developers and I h...
While the main issues are bandwidth and lower trasfer rates I am also worried about uploading personal data to such a service because of their EUA/TOU.
While Playstations have had better reliability than the original Xbox and a lot better reliability than the Xbox 360 in my experience I still had multiple PS1&2's due to laser issues.
I held off buying a launch PS3 at $999.95AUD and I am glad I did as a few people I know with launch units have their PS3s die a few days/months after their 12 month manufacturers warranty expired.
And it is far more expensive to pay for repairs to a PS3 then an Xbox 360 at least in ...
Hopefully for Sony's sake this sells well but I can't see it having the same mass market appeal as Gears of War 1/2 or Halo 3.
I think Killzone 2's gameplay will be more niche and appeal strongly to some but not others.
I don't buy on graphics, only game I bent that rule for in the past year is GoW2 and that was a turd because of glitches, gameplay and design changes from the first IMHO.
Some of you guys/girls disgust me, you don't think at all about the innocent people caught up in the storm thanks to this idiot and instead take it as another opportunity to slug Microsoft.
While I love Linux until gaming support becomes mainstream on it I will be forced to use Windows and I don't see mainstream Linux gaming becoming a reality because of Microsoft's practices.
Namco Bandai will get my money when they finally release Tales of Vesperia in Australia, that's the only Namco Bandai game I'm really interested in.
Good thing I haven't purchased this yet then.
Heard a lot of praise about it from others, sounds like an awesome little game for the price.
