Once I'd watched the trailer I read the accompanying page that stated "it's a CGI target render". Looks like Sony's deceptive tactics continue.

DOAX2 should have been on the list.

Piracy is obviously hurting the PSP but how much is the real question and as we have no real way of obtaining the exact figures (totals sold and pirated) we can only speculate.

"I'm just glad I wont have to risk my money to play the great game" I translate as "I'll just pirate this game on PC thereby not having to pay a cent for it".

It's sad what PC gaming has become with many people solely pirating PC games or owning another system (often a PS3) and pirating all their PC games because they can.

Then the same people turn around and make stupid statements like "if there was anything worth buying I'd buy it" but...

Standalone BD players will continue to drop in price and many people would prefer a silent, easier to use standalone than a louder, more complex PS3.

The PS3 did a good job getting Blu-ray established but only good standalones will take it to the masses.

Anyone that thinks the format war was good for Blu-ray simply lacks common sense.

You do realise additional features often require additional hardware don't you? Hence all the Blu-ray profiles (1.0, 1.1, 2.0 and counting).

So what do all us poor suckers that live in region B and C countries do?

6604d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Sales reps generally recommend the most expensive product so they earn maximum commission, it's a fact.

Nothing on the PS side has the required amount of hype/marketing to complete with Halo 3's popularity. FPS fans account for a higher percentage of the userbase on Xbox360 vs. PS3 so that's another factor.

"If you are going to spend that much money on a console, why not buy one that you know will work instead of buying one you are sure will fail sometime later?"

Last I checked Halo 3 and a slew of other 360 exclusives weren't available on PS3, add in the fact that most multiplat games are better on 360 and when the thing is actually working it's quite appealing.

While I can't say I'd buy another 360 like replikka if I had my time again I'd still buy the 360 as the one year headstart the 360 had ensured that while it was working there was far more for me to play on it.

Having played a mates PS3 extensively recent (he’s MIA in Mass Effect) I'm not that impressed with it, aside from Drakes I haven't found the titles very appealing or likable and graphics aside most are not significantly better than what's come before.

This gen...

If you think MS fixing the hardware issues would shut up haters think again.

People will always find some reason to bag MS, they'll just jump from the hardware reliability sucks to “insert statement(s) of choice”.

The sad part is people would have raked MS over the coals far worse if they used one of their existing popular brands to ensure the success of a new tech/item as Sony has done with the PS3 and Blu-ray.

The lack of much longer loading screens for 360 multiplatform games surprised me at first but I later came to realise that RAM and effective processing power are more pressing issues.

While MS would never have been able to include a HD disc drive and keep the 360's price competitive the removal of a standard HDD was a backwards step from the Xbox.

It's 8.5GB (max DVD-9 capacity) vs. 50GB (dual layer BD capacity) almost 6x the space.

HD movies require far more storage space than SD movies so multimovie discs won't be that common for high-end releases, some of the budget titles will no doubt have multiple titles on a single disc.

Yes we should all criticise a company for offering choice. If you love PCs that's fine but don't go slagging every other system because it's not you're No.1 choice.

The simple fact of the matter is that 360 is proving far more profitable than PC for developers and this is only a good thing as it allows them to make bigger, better games.

The current PC game market couldn't solely support these big budget games so it's a win-win for MS as it attracts developers by leve...

If one doesn't have a medium to high-end PC the PC versions aren't a factor as they won't be able to run them respectably. Perfect Dark Zero still hasn't come out for PC and I'm not expecting PDZ2 to make the jump if it ever eventuates.

So are you going to list your $360 360 equivalent PC or not Myth?

6611d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

You're not going to be able to build a high-end PC for the cost of a 360, most people would lack the know how to build and setup software for said PC making it further irrelevant.

Please do list your $360 computer specs and prices that way I can pickup one myself.
