This game had a good bit of press middle of last year and then it got quiet. Still pretty quiet for a game coming out in 11 days. I think Capcom realized it was not going to do well and has given it less of a marketing budget. Capcom also recently released that statement about its disinterest now in working with devs outside of Japan. Maybe Dark Void was one of those games that helped fuel this feeling. GamePro gave it a 60.

Looks like they fixed alot of the things I found annoying. The game itself was great. The inventory system was a mess and finding new items wasn't as exciting as say Borderlands where a new weapon can be game changing.

First game was king of atmosphere. I can still vividly recall trekking through some of those scenes.

Wonder why this game has been getting so little media attention?

You live with the consequences of your decisions. You decide to sleep with every piece of tail you can get your claws on, you have to expect that if it gets out your squeaky clean image is going to take a hit. Companies endorse celebrities because it represents an image they want to portray. They want kids to drink Gatorade because Tiger Woods drinks it. Public opinion of Tiger has dropped to 56% claiming they have lost respect for him after this incident. Companies have to take that int...

I once talked to a girl. Thank goodness we got married or I might have had to talk to another one.

Forget the XBox game on picking up women. I'm waiting for Tiger to release his "How to Pick up Hotties at Dennys" book. Should be out after his sponsers jump ship and he needs some extra cash.

They aren't making 20+ hours games anymore? What genre does the author play? I'm playing Borderlands which is easily consuming 20+ hours, finishing Lost Odyssey another 20+ hours. Sure, if you stick to FPS's you won't have long single player campaigns (excluding Borderlands from that list, which is more an RPG/FPS hybrid).

I actually enjoyed the exploration of the alternate planets in Mass Effect. I know it was repetitive, but it was fun to drive/bounce that land buggy all over the place.

The spinning blades in GOW was a major pain. Mostly because I felt compelled to go get the treasure chests that were off the path and made my life more difficult.

If anyone has played Viking: Battle for Asgard, the last battle had me pulling my hair out.

Yup, good point. If the console manufacturers did it on the dashboard instead of each developer having to do it, there would be a much greater chance of it happening.

I'm going to have to get my blankie back out of storage to ahem... keep me warm when playing (:o

Strange they didn't wait for some event to announce it like the upcoming VGA show.

The thing that gets me with these crappy ports is the fact these companies still have their name on the game. Most gamers would have assumed Valve created the PS3 Orange Box as most gamers don't follow the news as closely as we do. Same with Bayonetta on the PS3. I would expect a company would want a quality port of their game for the simple fact it would tarnish their name otherwise.

In fact it's both Farmtown and Farmville. My wife was addicted to one and then dropped it and got addicted to the other. Now she has dropped both and moved on to Cafeville. So, I get to play the console :)

Is it highway robery or highway robbery? I don't mind highway robery if it involves cute girls.

If you have fanboys, you will no doubt have "Stop fanboyism" articles. Like clockwork, they show up about once a week.

Some companies do have technology that doesn't require glasses. I don't know how the price would compare to those that do require them. If they can't get past the glasses hurdle at an affordable price, I don't see 3D TV's taking off.

I'd like that top to become a new fashion trend please.

Activision knew they had a financial winner which is why they spent so much on marketing. I saw ads everywhere and in high profile (read expensive) spots like MNF. $40-50 million is probably low end anymore on a high profile game. Take just the employees. Most game devs have upwards of 100 and sometimes more people involved with a game. Let's say each employee costs them on average $50,000/year which includes their salary, health benefits, 401k matching, soc security. The game took 2 ye...

MS is going to find themselves in a predicament. They are notorious for outrageously priced peripherals, but typically peripherals you can live without. However, when Natal rolls around MS is going to want to push that peripheral into as many homes as they can. If they price it out of the stratosphere they are going to have weak sales which will backfire on their strategy to compete with the Wii and the Wii target audience. If Natal comes in at a low price, they will then have to justify ...
