TitanZ and the 295X are not marketed for the same people.
TitanZ is for people who need double precision computing (aka not consumer or gamers)
the 295X is for people want the best gpu in a single slot. People who have a small form factor PC that cannot usually dual gpu. Quite a niche market.

Who said you had to?Seems quite high to me too, but frankly you don't have to comment on this product about the price. The market is big enough to support niche cards like dual gpus. They only make sens in micro-atx compact builds where you got a single slot for gpu and you want the best possible performance.
It's also quite an engineering feet.

Finally people responding with more reasons then emotions. Facebook deal is great for the product. 2 billion injected in the hands of the best vr team in the world is only a good sign. The goal is to immerse the user in a world what ever its for gaming or a social hub the features requieted are similar and want to acheive the same goals.

It's not only about resolution. It's about being limited. There are many nice features that you didn't see on ps3 and 360 because they where limiting just like ps4 and xbone will be in the next few years.
Also, framerate are abysmal on console. Dark souls 1 in blighttown ran at 12 fps, dark souls 2 on ps3 dips all the time in 22-24 skyrim was almost unplayable too. there are countless reason why more horsepower = better gameplay and resolution is only a part of it...
They don't target consoles, they get paid to do so. Don't you think every dev would like to release their game on all platform and get more money and more fans behind them?
Ps4 and xbone are much slower then old gen high end cards... If you take a look back in 2006 ps3 did go head on with the current high end cpu at the time.
Kinda makes you wonder how they are going to handle the gap between pc and console this time around. I mean, beside 4k witch will become mainstream by the end of ps4 lifecycle I feel like the boundaries will be hold back by consoles yet again but in much shorter time. I mean, they already have time to hit 1080p 60fps witch ...
He's one of the best codded in the world, is the father(with his team) of modern game engine, show some respect cause you won't accomplish 1/100th of what he has done.

Have you even played the game? Cause I'm at 220 hours in the standalone and hundreds in the mod and I can tell you that this game is like none on console.
The game controls is more complex then the average FPS. You got lean right/left, move your head freely around,zoom in, tons of easy access items, menu with tons of items that have tons of options each(and it's still an alpha and more content will be added) Just trying to manage inventor...
Dayz on console is still years off and will probably dumed down. Controls are complex and mechaniques are complex to port on a controller and player base are not used to thid type of game. When it release on console i expext it to be a shadow of the original so dont hold your breath
Pc is always filled with dedicated servers with great admins. Go play few year old title online like cod on consoles and tell me its an enjoyable experience with hackers
