There isn't much reason to own a ps4 right now... most games are multiplat and pc is king of it.
Somehow people disagree with you, ha fanboys are funny.
The beauty of pc is that 4k will be easy to drive in 3 years.
It's not because you where stuck at 720p for 7 years that everyone has.
dayz has already 1.9 million people who bought it, it's 2 years away from actual release and there is a big dedicated fanbase so I would not worry about it. I would not worry too much about it's survival. Dayz is rough on the edges and lack content but this is mostly due to the early stages of development and it's getting better week by week with clocktime patches that bring a lot to the game.
Dayz is also unique, it has a certen soul and give the player the most...
DX12 is great for spreading CPU workload on many cores. It will help the xbone for sure, but it's marginal because it's the gpu that is miting the gaming experience in this case. Probably will help a lot on AMD cpu system and uber high end intel with many gpus.
Probably a second or so.
Most of the visual tech end up in pc games 12 to 18 months after they get shown. You dont see em on consoles withing the gen because of hatdware limitation. Plenty of advanced tech like tesselation AO and fancy post process effects are years ols once it hit the consoles.
Arn't we all? It's probably incrimental really but still nice to see.
a 150$ gpu with an old ass cpu will produce a better gameplay experience then both next gen, what are you smoking?
Half life series has brought each time new interesting gameplay elements, great story, a level design a decade ahead of it's time and just awesome gameplay.
We have yet to see something better on many level then half life 2 and even half life 1 and the only game that could do that is the next in the series.
It's not cod, uncharted or gears where every game is just more of the same with a bit of polish.
I've played and it looks great but there are better looking games out there. Skyrim with the right mods, crysis 3, farcry 3 and metro last light have greater details on many level imo.
Tho, infamous nails the particle effects I'll give it that.
and grass and textures and physics and light and foliage and AA and resolution...
sale thing
I've seen H1Z1 stream and they don't have to be scared, they already surpassed what they where aiming for and it's about 2 years from actual release.
The only games that could get me excited is half life 3,red orchestra 3 and maybe a new metro game.
New IPs please, just something fresh other then shoot bad guy in exotic corridors 4
I disagree.
Games are much cheaper on pc, you got to pay 350-400$ for playing online on consoles so that's should be included in the budget.
really a 600$ pc can slap all day the ps4 and be cheaper in the long run.
keep dreaming.
"Moving on, the PlayStation 4 CPU, as we all know is a bit slower. We’re pretty satisfied with the specs. We would be overjoyed if the clock was a little bit faster,”
This is so basic and easy to understand I don't get how this comment section got it all messed up. PS4 CPU is slow. Sucker punch also commented on that. It's a mobile cpu clocked at 1.7ghz, that's real slow. Really really slow. Pretty sure intel first gen i7(920) released back in 2008 are faster ...
The fact that it's out for 6 months does not change the fact that there isn't much to play on it.
It's related but saying that there isn't much to play still hold true no matter how mad you say or how well you justify it.
games on ps4: under 200
games on ps3 2 000
games on pc: 20 000
Yeah, next gen has some few games. Most of them are already on other platform and it's not even the better version. Also the games out only on these are pretty average beside one or two.
@Erudito87
A pc gamer, tho he has choice to do so. A pc faster today tehn a ps4 will be bfaster in 7 years. No magic involved guys.
