i've got to admit, even though the Co-Op was rinse and repeat I think it worked really well. It was great fun, I think it was the most enjoyable part and am really gutted that it isn't returning.
You really had to rely on a well rounded team to get through, especially on SuperHuman. I agree that it merely needed refinement. Maybe slightly less players and more agressive troops.
yet it'll probably still be more informative than most "official" reviews.
That's where my problem is with these types of reviews. The fact that they are so heavily opinion based coupled with the fact that they have stronger and more informative preview pieces than what is provided in their reviews. That is where things become a problem.
Personal opinion will always find it's way into a review, BUT it really ought to just be in touches as to whether something worked or not. I want to read about all that the game offers, if I was new to Vide...
Exactly. A Review should be a Fact orrientated and informative peice of writing that is merely Laced with hints of Opinion.
Isn't that the case with most things... for example in a shooter. A figure comes on screen, you determine what it is. you press the required button to kill it. It's just not completely on rails.
and that's putting it lightly, I find it hard to believe that they were once my only portal for game information.
Their reviews are getting shorter, more opinion ridden and less informative than they have ever once been. The grading for Games make little to no sense at times when you compare them to their words and final review scores.
Objectivity and a sense of unity in terms of how games of slightly different genres are becoming increasingly distant wi...
I must just be a rare breed. I hardly ever hip fire and I really don't like CoD. I've always been a KZ man. many an hour logged =)
To be honest this is just another one of IGN's recent string of lazy reviews. I remember years back they used to be able to write several pages for reviews. But I'm digressing.
This review just wasn't very informative, I didn't learn much about the Story creation mode, whether it had any other changes than the sentence listed about it.
I find that a big issue as I remember reading at one point that the story now featured the ability to make br...
that's one of the strangest things that i've heard.
when I think hip firing, I think spraying.
Not to mention the character Models, grenade explosion, water and SMOOOOTH AA.
animation's alot less clunky =)
edit: WOW, around just after 7 minutes, the death animation.
I cringed at your comment initally ( I had not watched the video ) thinking that it was just another elitist pop at a lesser player, but now I'm here actually to completely agree. I was cringing throughout so much of that. It was pretty bad.
However, bring on KZ3
I hope you're not calling CoD Realistic.
:P
What on earth are you saying ?? I seriously couldn't understand that.
Alan Wake looks bloody good, I don't see why people bash it.
Next year is shaping up to be pretty darned chocked full of games. I have a lot on my radar, not to mention any possible unmentioned surprises.
For example there's 3 I'm looking at in January alone
nicely used in moderation.
R:FOM had a singleplayer experience that was dark, at times mildly nerve racking, Focused and the Narrative was a Great part of the game.
R:2 Had a Singleplayer where the atmosphere was completely different. The feeling of a greater darkness surrounding us wasn't as prevailant. The story was at times not as strong as it could have been. We were nearly alwyas with a group of characters which we were supposed to know well, yet they had no emotional connections. The main thi...
I can sort of understand where you are coming from there, but perhaps they didn't want to be completely overloaded with data from the testers.
10000 is a lot of people to here back from. I understand that not all would give feedback but even if only 30% did, that would be 3000 notes and such.
the PS Blog stated 5000 and 5000 yesterday.
It's a strange thing how this is unfair whilst the Assassin's Creed was not in the same boat.
Sony advertised that PS Plus would get exclusive Betas, now they're giving it and getting slated for it.
It's a strange and greedy consumer world we live in.
I think it's unfortunately you're end. It was pretty smooth for me.
Wow, now that's loyalty.
But hey, you can enjoy your kinect 2 (Next MS Console?) with all it's wonderful Hardcore games.
Just imagine a game where you could pick up money bags and calculate the amount of sales it took to get that money bag. ALL THIS without a controller.
I can't wait. ( !! SARCASM !! )
