It's just a shame that the light bar on the controller is so noticeable on tv screens. (visible throughout this presentation)

It's been my biggest fear since the first showcase, I guess I'll have to go down the duct tape route unfortunately.

This should be fairly obvious as there's no way that you can just flick a switch for it.

There are no r/l 2 triggers and no input for r/l 3 inputs available so a developer Needs to work in a control scheme that is as effective and natural.

I disagree that it's about being smart enough to feel a game should avoid any form of co-op.

I'm one of the people that would love to have co-op in a game like skyrim. I personally would live too share the experience of exploring a world with a friend online, providing all is balanced and we're not forced to be opposites or have to help the other into places.

Some worlds in games have a really rich atmosphere but after a while it can become tedio...

@pixel enemy.

As far as i'm aware, the cutscenes are a mixture of in-game and pre-rendered.

Those that were pre-rendered use a much higher quality AA solution and use higher quality light and shadows

I care about sales to an extent.

I want to see good games continue to exist and outsell games that simply cannot offer the same quality of an experience.

@ showtimefolks.

It makes sense to me for a formal announcement to be made detailing a very basic outline of the console. Stating that we will find out more and will be shown games for the system at e3.

That would allow for the new releases and big hitters early this year to keep their chances of success high whilst allowing people the chance to know that the next big thing is coming.

I can see why, to an extent, that they would find the scope a little off-putting. I find that having a map that's big is often great, but there are instances like with L.A Noire where it was simply too big. It became tedious for me as a result of the over the top scale.

Hopefully with this game offering up a lot more in the way of options the size will simply enable a level of freedom that I really appreciated in Red Dead Redemption. Such striking views sometimes had me r...

OOOOOR..
There are people that simply don't care that it's scripted and can enjoy it as it's own form of entertainment.

I've never been dissapointed that Theatre isn't 'real'

Your second paragraph described RE Revelations on 3DS. It's a huge shame that Revelations is only on 3DS as it really is a much better game than 5 and 6 (based on the demo).

needing keys and cards, backtracking creepy areas and some tough bosses all mixed with some good second screen implementations.

I wish so much for it to go multiplatform so more could experience it.

Ther is NO WAY that a model could be released without a hardrive as it would not allow for saving, updates, downloads and mandatory inatalls. The title is pathetic.

Surely if it's comprehensive enough it could be played whilst you sit at home. A large screen has not stopped me from playing RE: Revelations and Uncharted: GA at home and nor will it stop me spending my time with LBPV at home for extended time periods.

@blofeld

we expect more from them BECAUSE it's 7 years in. the Hardware has been mastered and as a result the games should be coming along nicely.

the problem was that Microsoft have gone on to abandon the 'Core' Gamers that they set out to pitch the device towards. Moving on to where they feel the money is more likely to be made, rather than tending to those whom they first attracted.

Also E3 is a platform for Games to be shown a...

Definitely rayman Origins, it feels completely at home on the Vita

It's almost a shame that you feel that way about the 3DS now as Revelations is probably better than 6 will be.

Loving the re-exploration of areas in that.

@storm.

People hated 5 predominantly becuase of the length of the game, the pacing, the atmosphere and the focus of action over all else.

Re4 could take a person roughly 12 hours to complete if you were playing quite fast. Re5 however could take 3 and a half hours if played fast.

4 actually took it's time introduce you to the enemies and the events that were unfolding. 5 told you the same things as 4 but condensed 2 hours down to 10 minut...

I'm willing to bet that the majority of people on here are too young to be able to afford a mid to high end tv, so ofcourse most people here wont care.

I feel that 3d isn't really anything negative at all, most people seem to have a built in hatred towards it for no more of a reason than it costs lots and you have to wear glasses.
If only people realised that in most cases you're still getting a high quality television that simply can perform a stereoscop...

It's all very well to want a prettg looking big screen, but i actually like that nintendo kept the dual screens. Games like resident evil revelations, as they use for an example, benifit greatly from the second screen. I personally greatly dislike having a hud on screen as it completely sucks me away from the place that is created.
I agree that it could be used more creatively however, but i can't offer suggestions as to how because i'm not a developer.

@ Rush.

That's all very well to say, but simply look at the ps3.

With the ps3 we have the ability to switch between video games, 3d blu rays, music, photos, tv apps and the internet.

However not all of these are at the same quality level. The we browser for example is at nowhere near the same level as the machines ability to play a movie. (just one shallow example)

Would you not want to have a machine that takes all of wh...

I agree that games shouldn't be about graphics primarily.

However new hardware can help in other ways.
A new way of blending the growing popularity of apps and customisation.
The bloom of Social features and the interaction between mediums.

I for one want a system that is accessible, intuitive, well presented and great at all the things it does.

PS3 does alot, but it does so at varying levels of quality.

yeah, it's simplistic but I stand by it being cluttered.

I feel it's messy in terms of presentation. Compare it to the Ps store for example. the more constructed placement allows it to obtain a nice presentation, whilst keeping the funtionality a priority (as with all things, there's room for improvement still.

The XMB is simplicity at it's core and this is great, but the appearance is lacklustre when compared to areas such as the store.
