How about how Switch launch lineup compares to the Wii and Wii U?
Is even poorer than those systems. Keep supporting Nintendo on their bad business desicions. That is why they don't change for the better and keep living by milking their blind loyal slaves.
This game is not for the faint of heart. I played the demo and it is awesome. If you are a casual gamer with no skills you better go and play Zelda and enjoy yourself killing some pigs. This game is for men.
Nintendo doesn't look to be learning from its mistakes. They have 2 options :
1. Change management or
2. Go software only and make games for every platform.
I also grew up with Nintendo and I feel the same way. Nintendo consoles use to be about getting the best tech and third party support. They were about competitive fire as the article says but nowadays they are weak, they don't believe in themselves. They suppose to have lots of money but they don't make competitive hardware. I wish I could play a mature Zelda and Metroid game in today's hardware but they refuse to invest.
Not for me.
I like Zelda, but paying more than $400 just to play a Wii U port cartoonish 900p game that looks for kids is no fun at all. I rather invest in a PS4 Pro.
Maybe if you are a kid, you may have reasons to get it. After you have played Zelda and Mario, what's in store for the Switch? Nothing interesting plus the big third party games are not gonna be available on it.
If Nintendo plans to charge for online services then it better be as good as PSN or Steam. Otherwise, it is only fair they just charge $5 a month.
Wow.
And then is more jaw dropping how some people defend Nintendo for doing this. They really are very out of touch with its customers and the market.
What I saw did not make me want one.
- The price is ridiculous for what the system is capable of. $199 would have been fair.
- The price of accessories is ridiculous too.
- Very week launch lineup. The only game that I like is Zelda and is a Wii U port running at 900p.
- No Metroid game once again.
- Paid online service. I would not have a problem with this if the service is on par with PSN or Xbox live but I know is not going to be....
The author of the article simply don't know about the gaming industry. Everyone here knows that in the case of Playstation, they have build a reputation of having many exclusives and a big library of games on their system. Why people buy a Playstation on day one even when there are no many games at launch?
Because by reputation, people know the games will come. Now, on the other hand, you cannot say that about Nintendo and that is because it is what they have shown...
Nintendo has no respect for Metroid so I would not be surprised if they screw it again.
This is not enough. For all we know it could be another Federation soldiers like the last one.
It is not enough that is a Metroid game. It must be a serious and real Metroid game. Not a Metroid pinball or something like that.
Wrong
Sony does have games for kids and just to name a few... Ratchet and Clank, Clash Bandicoot, Knack.
In both quantity and quality I think 90% of us can agree it would be like this :
1. Sony
2. Nintendo
3. Microsoft
I think Microsoft did a very bad desicion by leaving Xbox without exclusive games. Hardware alone is not enough. Look how the original Xbox was way more powerful than the PS2 and still the PS2 won by a large gap.
Nintendo exclusives are good but they take a while to come and Switch is expensive judging by...
Scorpio cannot afford to be higher than $349 considering there is going to be little difference against he PS4 Pro and is not going to even have a good exclusive line up.
I am switching off.
The price is too high for what it does and the launch window is very poor. Zelda is the only game that interests me and it looks like a cartoonish game for kids and then there is no Metroid game, again, which means there is nothing interesting for me.
Lack of games? I think it was you lack of knowledge of all the games available at launch.
How many units were available for pre order? With that information you could really say if they did something wrong or not.
They could have put 100 units and you are assuming it was a lot more.
Xbox does not have exclusive games anymore but while I find the line up for the Switch to be very poor, at least they have exclusive games.

People shouldn't be defending Nintendo and their bad desicions. That is why they don't change for the better. Is time for Nintendo to crash so they can get serious.
