I must have this game. This has a good chance of being one of the best games of the year. I hope they pull it off.
It's still more than the 360. The 360 will never match the PS3 in quality and capacity. The games will come, and by Christmas you won't be able to use the lack of games excuse. I guess this is something new for you guys to rag on because the lack of games excuse won't apply soon. Get a life man or go play games.....unless your 360 is broken.
I've spent more time on the Gran Turismo series than any other game. I used to hate racing games but GT changed my mind. The only game that comes close to playtime is Diablo 2.
Wow those were somewhat harsh scores. While I was surprised by the 9 that IGN gave it I'm even more surprised by the 7. I was thinking low to mid 8s for this game so I guess they average out. He was awfully picky about some things though. I liked the demo so I'll pick it up.
That's a bold statement considering that they have only been in the business for 7 years. Actually I think that's an insult to say that they have the best line-up in history. By the time Christmas gets here they will only barely have a better lineup than the PS3. The will have more high profile games but that's it.
This is certainly a surprise. I really enjoyed the demo but I didn't see this score coming. It's definitely an eerie game. No one was really talking about this game. Good Job!!!

I'm not sure what this guy played. Heavenly Sword is definitely worth a 9 or higher. It seems that more and more reviewers are catering their tastes to FPS. That's cool if they like those but there are more games out there than FPS. It seems that all the innovative games or games that break tradition are getting lower scores than the ones that follow the same old formula.
Outstanding game. I just bought it on Friday. I haven't beat it yet but man, this is what I play games for. This game is worth a 9 or more. I don't care if it is s little short. Give me an excellent short game any day over a long game that's so-so. With so many games coming out that I want I don't have time to spend on a long time on them anyway. Oh and I LOVE the motion control segments.
I like the PSN interface much more than the XBL interface.It serves well for what I need. I also love that the PS3 has a browser. I can go online to my favorite video site and stream my weekly episodes of Naruto or almost any TV show I want. If it's online 80% of the time I can watch it. That's a lot better to me.
This is stupid. The PS3 has sold as much as the 360 did in it's first year and that's with competition. I don't think the 3DO sold 5 million units in it's entire life cycle.
Well I've played all 3 basketball demos and I like NBA 08 the best of all 3. NBA 2K8 is almost as good though. The shooting is a little easier on 2K.
I think this is a valid comparison. More so than Gears and Resistance. There is no reason why we can't have a great mature discussion about which you think is better. The problem is that this site is filled with very immature people. I haven't played Halo3 so I won't comment on it. If the comments are from people who have played both or someone who has something relevant to say I think it could be a very good topic to talk about.
Ok this game is made by EA so what's new? This company is got to be the worst about framerate issues. They can't get any game to run without hiccups.
With all you guys hating on Maddens, could it be that he's trying to bring you reviews from places that aren't caught up in the hype. I'm not taking any sides but with the whole IGN reviewing scandal(one reviewer asks another reviewer what he thinks he'll give a game before he even plays it.Then suggests what the score should be.) it could be that some companies were pushed to give this game a score that's higher than the criticisms they give in their own review. In the same right some games ...
I'm not sure what number of players have to do with it. Hype is the reason there was 1 million players. There were a million pre-sales so even if the game sucked there would still be a million players logging on.
They are totally 2 different types of games but they are all supposed to be fun. So you can compare how much fun you have playing each game. Warhawk is hailed as one of the greatest online experiences to come along in a while yet only averaged 8 to 8.5. Halo averaged a 9.7. Is it really that much more fun? I haven't played Halo 3 so I don't know.
Now that every site has given Halo 3 10's, what will they give UT3. We all know it will be a better game but somehow i don't think it will get the same high scores.
Didn't reviewers state that they got caught up in the hype of Halo 2 and gave it higher scores than it deserved. Couldn't this be the case here too. Some of the criticism about the game doesn't warrant the scores it's receiving. I think there is somewhat of a double standard when it comes to Halo.
I don't feel cheated at all. Anyone who's into technology and computers knows this is how things work. Just ask anyone who builds computers how a top of the line gaming card costs $499 to $699 when it comes out then a year later you can get it for almost half the price. Look at the prices of HDTV's. Think about them last year vs the prices now. I've had almost a year to enjoy my PS3. I knew the price was going to drop in a year but I didn't want to wait a year. If you worry about price drops ...
