I prefer Pokemon on emulators myself. Save states, full Pokemon library and fast forward are my favorite features
Nintendo is going with the strategy that made the Wii and now 3DS successful, which is do most of the work themselves. When everyone else dismisses them they come out swinging with kick ass titles we all love and respect.
Not to take away from the other companies, but you really gotta give Nintendo credit for their tenacity and determination
Nintendo should keep doing what they're doing. Keep the in-house and Retro on the core franchises, let the "good friends" like Platinum* and Monolith work on the new IP's
Nintendo does best when they release a constant stream of their core franchises with a supporting cast of great 2nd party titles
The success value depends on its production and advertisement costs.
Also a successor hasn't been completely ruled out. With more polish it can be better
The game looks amazing for its art direction. It's still the Mario style we know and love but in HD and enhanced visuals and particles. Nintendo really knows how to take a "low tech" console and make it shine.
The game has a lot of hype to live up to.
Am I the only one feels like Bowser has the best model so far? Great detail on his scales, a little more subdued color palette that fits, fantastic body and head design.
I love how they made him more upright and agile. I really hope they ditched the super heavy/slow class, competitively they get outclassed and feel to clunky. Sanke really did a good job of being heavy without feeling clumsy
The numbers don't work? Well they have for the past 30+ years
I'm not surptised he said this. If you ever compare interviews by Iwata and Miyamoto they touch on a lot of the same points, from smarthpones to leaving the hardware business and game development. They think a lot alike in terms of the direction they want Nintendo to go in. Anytime you doubt Iwata you're pretty much doubting Miyamoto, since they are on the same level.
Nintendo has long done things the way they wanted even if it seems short-sighted (look at siding with...
I'm still waiting on confirmation or denial of Destiny for the WiiU. There have been rumors of it, even a video with tie-ins to Nintendo references, but no official word
Destiny is coming out for 360, which is weaker than the WiiU, and the WiiU isn't supposed to have such a crappy online infrastructure like before
You would think they'd tell us at E3 if it was for WiiU, then against they would tell us if it wasn't. Most likely comes down to Ac...
Now that's playing with Power
It's a bit tough to swallow, but I've been paying $50-60 on Xbox Live for really just online play and Netflix for the past 4 years.
When you consider the other option for $60 PS4 feels like a better fit. I love the part about getting "free" games, and if it means a wide reaching community service through Share then I will accept it.
I'll be evaluating my opinion as the year moves on. As long as they don't increase the price over tim...
Ubisoft is the golden robe of the industry right now. Fully supporting all consoles (yes even WiiU), no dirty/unfavorable practices (that I'm aware of). Large and diverse gaming portfolio
All I hope is they don't let the money go to their heads
"Forgiving" could mean a lot of things. One way it could mean there is more room for error or lower difficulty. Another way is better options to attack and defend yourself to where if you know what you're doing you feel like you died due to human error not the game.
It's better to die knowing you messed up not that the game didn't read your actions clearly.
Dead Rising 3. Another attempt to attract CoD players to the horror genre (Artillery strikes wtf). Number 1 spot is a little too forgiving.
Destiny: The most ambitious title shown at E3. Just an HM when it should be near the top.
Sunset Overdrive: While the pre-rendered trailer looked fun it was just a cinemtatic. I wouldn't put it above "X" since X had footage and looks to be a worthy next-gen title (Sunset could go either way, look what happe...
PS4 is region free
"X" shows the WiiU's capabilities pretty well
We only really saw one level from the game, and with the scarcity of information we have no idea how big the game is. It's alright to be apprehensive, but I would have some faith
Just like Resident Evil 6 eh.
You know, the game that got critically panned and had a price cut of $20 a month later. We don't want CoD, we want Dead Rising.
The Villager will murder you with a smile on his face

"No internet access? Stick with the 360" *facepalm

In a way they did take a risk by having Donkey Kong instead of Metroid, going the 3D land route with Mario instead of the normal 3D Mario we expected
Nintendo games have a distinct art style that doesn't fit the common definition of high end graphics. They are cartoony but with high detail and particles. Smooth and glossy with a hint of character
The fact of the matter is Nintendo showed what they know will sell WiiU's, something they desperately need...
