The price drop is what will really push these mainstream.
So many versions I might try a few before going in on PSVR. Right now I'm sure it's PSVR because it's here and it's cheap enough. Quality enough. However something else might catch my eye.
It should come as many versions as possible to offer up a true standard that the masses will latch onto. One of these headsets will become the standard out of all these versions. The winner of that will get a huge boost to VR and the company that owns that headset.
40 million people at least already know. I'm sure it will be a bigger success than normal for a upgrade console. I can see this outselling the slim possibly.
At 4k even cheap TV versions should be worth me taking a look at buying one. Usually I never consider the cheap 1080p sets but 4k is such a high jump in visual quality a cheap 4k set might make me get one.
I'm glad for Microsoft. They are doing the smart thing. VR is really taking off. All a person has to do is try it on once for even a very simple game to realize it's potential.
Well by the time they launch PSVR will be nearly the same price already. So....
Well it's a good thing the better version is on PS4 for me to play now. Congrats Microsoft on the multiplatform game you created.
That game was probably already finalized before getting any hard information on the Ps4 Pro. It could be some early VR games won't take advantage of the Pro.
I honestly don't know. I'm guessing the Pro version might get the updates for weather.
Sony is a great company. It's because of this company so many things are being mainstream. DVD, 1080p, 4k, Blu-ray, virtual reality. I honestly don't know why they aren't even bigger as a company. They helped push most of these things to the front.
There is a huge divide between a mobile and home console VR. The home console version is what people expect a real virtual experience to be like. The mobile version is like a small taste. Close but no cigar.
Of course it will. It will only improve too. Especially if buyers back it. You could end getting truly immersion in games one day as more people get into VR.
We have played upscale 1080p on both consoles for two generations. Upscale 4k will have the same effect. It'll be a huge difference because upscale 4k is still better than 1080 by the same amount the jump was from 790 to 1080p upscale. Then some games will be full 1080p at least. Some will be 1440p. Things not possible on the current PS4 and Xbox One.
The ones who have it will love just that tiny differences. The faster running and visuals. The better textures and HDR.
They said it's relatively easy. It should in theory be easier to do than making a version for Xbox or PC. Alot easier.
I'm hoping some companies use this console to create a better game and not just visuals. The jump is significant enough to almost be a generation jump. They could in theory create a next gen version of some games.
I'm getting this for PSVR. Now none of the naysayers can say I will get a scaled back version of games on VR when I'm using the Pro. PS4 Pro is nearly two and half times stronger than the PS4 original. So this should make up any difference required extra horsepower to run games in VR.
Until they tell me everything about it I'm not buying it. I don't go in blindly to purchases. I would love specs.
Is down speed something like down syndrome?
