It's always funny to hear. Yet here we stand with the gap between the two as crushing a defeat as ever. It's all whitenoise now. I tune it out because of media bias. It's clear they want the Xbox to not die it's obvious slow death yet. Any kind of positive news is OK for them nowadays. No matter how vague. I understand 4 months is significant if it's not ever happened before in North America. It's still pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things though.

Meh. We say that every year. It's prettuch done. This was the last chance. Virtual reality is out and the Pro. By the time we see the Scorpio it will be irrelevant too. Then we will start to hear about PS5 not too long after. In between that time people who do games for Scorpio will be a full year behind development on pro. By the time we see any difference in Pro vs Scorpio a games a year or two later this generation will be gearing towards PS5. So it's over.
They took themselves out of the race ironically. They thought expanding themselves to the PC would widen their grasp. In turn it's really limited the feel of Xbox having any real exclusives.

Lots of denial in this article. First off it's not between 10 to 20 million difference. It's between 20-25 million separation. Cost for value Xbox One S is not the best option for value. You can pick up a Pro which is twice as powerful until you get a Scorpio anyways. Exclusive games lineups are not even. Sony is pulling away in that regard as the generation goes forward. However yes it's best year is just wishful thinking still.

It will be a full year behind the PS4 Pro release. So you can imagine it will take almost 2 years to tell a difference if there is any. By then the generation is almost over. So it's pointless. We hear this every generation. Whenever someones favorite console of choice isn't winning the next hope is to destroy a part of the reason they are getting trounced. No it really wasn't. It was not noticeable at all and it was free. I basically never cared for the tiny extra benefit of paying for it just to play a game still. It's essentially paying for the same game for no reason other than some minor bump in imperceivable quality.
