Apparently the 100hz technology is about the TV guessing whats coming next but when its on maximum it doesnt bode well.
The constant speed surges in the picture, feels like someones messing about with the fast forward button. Silver Surfer on blu-ray was unwatchable at times.

I've noticed on sports as well that around players, there is like an energy field around them, heheh, looks daft.
Games on the 360 work well though at low 100hz setting. PGR4 looks superb but...

I've just moved up from a Samsung 32" 1080i LCD to the new 40F86BDX 1080p and I can see a difference already.
My other TV was 4 year old technology and this one looks lovely. The 100hz is a bit of b0ll0x though, stutters and makes HD movies look like high res games.

Crikey, this really takes the urine.
I thought we gamers in the UK got a bum deal from places like Game for giving us £15 on a trade in, only for them to sell it for £30.
I think the easy answer to this is to not trade in at the place, especially if they are this cheeky.

I can see the developers/publishers point of view on this though. I don't see a problem with trading or second hand selling but for the shops to make just as much money, if not more on ...

I'd say to all companies that release stuff in the US and then make us in the UK wait longer (this includes movies at the cinema):

Don't blame us when we buy copies and don't bother with the original.

You see, some movies or games come out and I have to avoid the internet for weeks because some t1t will spoil it. So make me wait because you'll be waiting a long time for my money.

I would like to add though that I'm not one of the ones that gets co...

Well seeing that I feel mugged anyway as a consumer, paying £425 for something which now costs less, under a year after being out, this doesnt help.
We keep getting delays, given the crappy leftovers of anything out there and taken for granted. Anybody in Europe and particularly in the UK can see this.

Therefore most of my games are 360 and the Christmas purchases will be aswell. I'll keep my PS3 for playing blu-rays because thats the only way I can justify it so fa...

I have 8 games for my 360, 3 for my PS3 and 3 on my Wii. Usually I would favour Sony, as I have done for many moons but at present I struggle to.

I would actually have more 360 games but have had to trade some in lately because I'm skint. Ho hum!

I don't give a monkeys who wins, just lower the price of the bloomin discs already.
I'm sitting here with a list of movies I want to buy, for a reasonable price. £18-£30 in the UK really takes the p1ss.

"Sales of discs are slow?" Hmm, I wonder why.

I know some people who are still playing on their Wii, they're about 8 years old but play it with their parents. Mine, well thats still got the dust on it from about 6 months ago.

I've got all 3 of the consoles and its the 360 which has been getting plenty of playtime. I am looking forward to Mario Galaxy though so it will get some usage then.

It makes the game feel a bit p1ss poor to play though. I've tried the 360 demo but have bought the PS3 edition and will be taking it for an exchange tomorrow to sort that out.

The PS3 replays are bad, its not even worth saving them because they can be painful to the eyes. The 360 has some but not as bad at all.
I've noticed whilst moving up the pitch, the framing is choppy and feels like its struggling to keep up, similar to messing around with v-sync on a PC game.

.....argh it hurts.

I've just quickly come on to tell you that I believed it but I've shot myself and missed but should die shortly.

Thanks for reading my last words.......

The difference in competition between the HD-DVD and Blu-ray cannot compare to the competition of consoles.
You're using an example which would be like saying one car manufacturer in the entire world would be a good thing.

The beauty of the games industry is the direction of things and how each company markets their products or aims for specific markets.

What we should say to EA is yes we will go along with your idea but you don't have the license for it...

Well at least the PS3 is cheaper now. It now costs less to buy a Blu-ray player, cough, ahem I mean a 'future' games machine.

They should stop this false advertising thing and actually call it a Blu-ray player with added PS3 functionality.

I'm gutted about Sony, this time round I feel like I've been shafted. When I bought a PS1 and with the PS2, I had quality games from day one whereas with this machine I've not been impressed so far and I paid £425 on launc...

Hey great, I paid £75 more to wait longer for any games that were promised, to actually come out! Woohoo!!

Ah well, you can't win em' all and if people complain about the price compared to whats on offer, they need to find a new hobby. Probably one that doesnt require spending any money.

As a UK PS3 owner I feel really p1ssed at Sony for what they have done so far. The games releases have been poor so far and slow at coming out to add to it.
My 360 wasnt used for the 1st month of owning my machine but since then I've only gone back to my PS3 for Heavenly Sword.

We in the UK paid far too much to begin with and now all we hear are about price drops. Great, thanks, cheers Sony for offering something to those who helped get your bloody machine off the ground...

Wouldnt you feel like a bit of a plum if you bought the boxset and they said "Sorry the players have all gone".

£60 to look at the box would be just great.

I got mine when it was released in the US and got it shipped over. A must buy, just like the original Matrix was for showing off your new DVD players years ago.

In currency terms as in what we in the UK pay to what you pay in the US, this £15 is pretty much the equivalent to your $15.
Exchange rate wise it would be $30 but when you look at the fact that you can buy a PS3 stateside for $500 / £250 here and we actually pay £425 / $850, then you'll understand what I mean.

I've got mine pre-ordered.

I take it these games also make them talk Jamaican (not a stereotype aimed at Jamaicans, more the kids that seem to act like they're from Kingston when they were born in Sussex) and wear baggys, plus bling it whilst listening to gangster or urban music?
If I was a politician i'd be looking at the 'ho's and b1tches' type genre that is now ever present in todays society.

I must say out of all the games I've played for over 20 years, not one has ever made me want to take an...

Those that know football, play PES. The 360 version was a mess but I still play it quite frequently.
On the last version, the PSP edition was annoying but the PS2 version was how it should be.
Lets just hope that the PS3 one is what we expect.

Coming in at 1.5mb right here. This will help me decide whether to get the PC or 360 version.
