So online Coop horde shooter is going to be our epic sci-fi story driven RPG with multiple choices that actually shape your story and with alien companions that will stay with your memories even after finishing the game....yeah nope.

"What expectations were subverted? And how were old characters destroyed?"
- Joel and Ellie relationship is shattered, that we agree on. Also add that on last flashback you can recall Ellie telling Joel, that they can try to fix their bonds.
- Joel has killed bunch of people and most of fireflies, he is also the most learned survivor of the apocalypse. He never trusted entirely anyone on the first game...still tells ...
No that cannot be true! They are lying! Only stable XSX stable CPU/GPU clocks can make that magic happen, PS5 variable clocks are not enough to run that game 120fps. Well XSX will still have double the resolution anyway!
"The Last of Us Part 2 proves that subverting expectation and destroying old characters does not work in games either."
I never suggested that it was far ahead or anything like that. If you knew how to develop to cell you could do some impressive things, but in practice the CPU was stupidly hard to develop. Also I did not touch at all the GPU, but yes x360 had the better GPU. For third party dev's PS3 was a nightmare due to cell and it took way more time to get the games even run on ps3. Games used to prefer 1-2 Core around that time, cell was 8 core. Porting games to that was not easy.
PS3 CPU was more powerful on paper, the problem was that no one knew how to develop games for it (cell architecture). It took even the first party devs 6 months to figure it out + they did not have to develop for x360. Evidently x360 was easier to develop (2-3 months) and it was the leading platform on most 3rd party games.
For PS4 and X0 both are based on the same architecture that resembles the pc's a lot. So they were relatively easy to develop (around 2 months). Th...
That game was always planned as 30fps, with ps4 pro some people hacked and re-engineered the engine to run 720p 60fps. I think that since it's fromsoft game and they have moved on from that game long time ago, there is no one who would go through re-engineering to just for ps5. Maybe bluepoint could remaster it after Demons souls? I hope.

Dunno if they wanted to make it look like a modern game like Lara croft and make you stare that sweet ass 8k texture on the wall. Who knows, but if it had been loading on that time...The whole last sequence would have been slideshow. It was so fast and so much happening in real time.
1440p 30fps. Though it's dev unit and uncomplete engine footage.
@Minute Man 721
Uhm, that is the RAM speed, not the available memory. Both have 16GB. I had dissected that on my previous comment.
@Minute Man 721
Do you mean that the RAM is faster or that there is more ram?
We don't know how much RAM PS5 allocates to OS and games. It seems that XSX seems to be 10gb 560GBps for games and 6GB at 336GBps for OS. While PS5 has unified speed of 448GBps with 16GB. Then we have to take to account if that slower OS speed affects the game RAM speed since they need to talk in tandem, if they really have no hiccups with it, then XSX has 20% faster RAM for...
Ray tracing is reeeeeally not power efficient technique, basically lumens does the same thing. We just don't know how much that takes power of the cpu/gpu. Even in PC gaming currently, raytracing halfs the fps...half, like fk no. Also pumping resolution from 1080p to 4k takes 3,5x more power from the system. Could we all just agree to 1440p/60 and fk raytracing/lumen if it's not possible on this setup.
Btw this demo was running 1440p/30. Not ideal, but did anyone r...
Yeah and I sunk 120h to Persona 5. Still I would not say that it's for everyone who likes JRPG's. I reinstalled and played for 3-4h more, beat three bosses (some puking ant, flying mage and three sisters) and got two skills: The spinning nail art and ground slam. Traversing from place to place just to check if I can advance felt like burden. I was going from shopkeeper to shopkeeper to blow my geo's and still was left with 2k. Could not even update the nail since I need slabs. ...
Third time is the charm? :D
Played all the souls games multiple times, really liked 2D souls likes/metroidvania/roguelike games. I tried twice to play Hollow Knight, last time played 5 hours in total and was so bored that I uninstalled it. idk I might be a retard, but I enjoyed salt and sanctuary, dead cells, ori and the will of the wisps, showel knight etc. more than HK.
@Zarock wake up. You are talking theoretical speeds, also just a downloading/uploading a file do not mean how it can do that in a game engine. The current level what high end PC can do is under 2GB/s. XBSX can do a bit better, but not by much. PS5 on other hand has custom chip to process the data, custom compressing and due to all that it can use ALL OF THE power of the allocated data. So it can do 4,5-8,5GB/s. But due to lowest common denominator, many 3rd party games wont be using that tech...
After playing around 15min it gave me one random incursion. Completed that one and waited around 15min...did not get a second one. Decided to quit after that, its boring to roam around empty hallways waiting for random incursions. The ones you can choose from the hub are "kill his with weapon x" or "kill hiss x 25 times"
@Unspoken I wish they would let players to reset the enemies and go on a killing spree with 100% abilities lmao
Forgot about that. did you have to pickup those missions from the main hub? the incursions DLC is FREE update.
Uhm 3rd party developers always go for parity. Same assets, same models, same techniques on loading/streaming data, same FPS. The thing that always fluctuate the most, is resolution and using checker boarding (variable resolution). Just compare PS4 pro and Xbox One X: Usually XOX has a notch higher FPS and maybe a bit better graphical effects. Not to say that always was a good tough, some games running on higher resolution had FPS dips and timing sync problems (I cant recall which games they ...
