Great news for XB1 gamers. Never expected it to be announced so soon. I wonder how it will work on XB1 since games will still be quite pricey. Competition is indeed great :)

Coming from engadget it's very surprising.
If I was getting a PS4 launch I would also be playing F2P games like warframe/warthunder also which I would like to play more than some XB1's exclusives.

Nope. I don't agree with that PS4 games are more appealing to me.
Only XB1 launch games I would play is DR3 & Ryse. Not saying to rest aren't good but they aren't my cup of tea.
That also includes their launch window lineup.
There is a reason the PS4 shuts down itself and displays a red light because it prevents itself from dying.
Similarly XB1 will ramp up it's fan or go into a very low power state.
The chances either console has genuine(No stupidity) heat related issues is small.

What???? Did you watch the video. HDD has nothing to do with what is going on there, that's a different case. This is a graphical issue.
Edit - Storage has nothing to do with rendering of the UI. I know the case you're talking about I said it on gaf.

So this is how a console launch goes.... Oh my am happy this is my first time witnessing a console launch & waiting from the sidelines seeing these issues. Am happy I get to avoid any chance of these issues happening to me since am not getting one at launch.
These issues don't seem too be widespread atm so hopefully it won't increase too much at launch or Sony won't be having a fun time.

The thing with Nvidia tech demo & Square Enix's project Flare is that all the computing is done in the cloud then a video stream is sent to a local client. Now MS's solution as they have described it is going to offload some stuff to the cloud whist still rendering some stuff locally.

After watching gamespot's live stream I would XB1's UI takes the cake here it's just a much more organised/less cluttered UI surprisingly. Also XB1 wins with the voice commands as they are a lot more streamlined & easier to carry out/use if you like voice controls.
Overall both are great & snappy so you can't go wrong with either system at this point. But IMO XB1 UI > PS4 UI, PS4 games > XB1 games. Online edge to MS because dedicated for all MP g...
And its awesome :)
