Wait a sec here.... This makes zero sense since an internet connection is not required so live compute is not happening the only computing done is Drivatars which will be uploaded then downloaded when the compute is done.
This is BS it has zero to do with the cloud and everything to do will the power of XB1 & the way to game was made.

I agree. But for me it's useless as I don't watch TV. But I see the potential with people who watch TV and are gamers.
The real advantage as mentioned is the way app switching & snap work. PS4 also has app-switching but it's unknown if you can control it with your voice or how it works with media apps.

*You can play games* - You might not be able to do that with the XB1 and that's the primary function of these consoles.
Yes you need the patch for movie playback - You can order a disc to activate this as well.
Camera stuff is missing as well.
The majority of the features need online to function so you won't be using them anyway.

Oh shit this is amazing.... MS truly are great when it comes to UX design. The kinect & controller work great together. This demo makes me want to get an XB1 just because the UX is so damn good. Its great to see they struck to their guns... Things like this I hope will push Sony to improve theirs as well.

Ok this situation does look like its a mistake on MS's part as they should have checked it before uploading it to their official channel.
The real problem here is that we have yet to see any XB1 footage. We have seen pc & ps4 iirc. I think this is the real problem at hand.
Wow I never realised the triggers on the XB1 controller were so chunky & wide i don't know if I would like that personally. Also I think I would prefer the textured grip on the DS4's back.
Anyways hope to try both of them out sometime to fully judge them. Both look incredible and great improvements over their predecessors.
