OT - Personally it doesn't matter too much as long as it's not a reboot of the franchise. Also no one knows what Uncharted will be called since the trailer was just a short tease/announcement of uncharted being on PS4 like Halo was/still is untitled.

I expect average of 7s for most games & average of 8 for XB1.

The more I hear this the more I laugh because if there wasn't any above minor difference between 720p & 1080p then we wouldn't have 1080p movies, monitors, TVs, etc.

It makes for a clearer, shaper & more pleasing image. Just like you can tell the difference between 30fps & 60fps majority of people will be able to tell the difference between 720p & 1080p.

Am not saying it doesn't but it wasn't built around it in mind to as the PS4 was. Read the article I linked the XB1 system architect admitted it. GPGPU is the main customisation that was done to the PS4's GPU. It's the thing Mark Cenry has been talking about for a long time now.

Forza horizon was 30fps *locked* & no one seemed to complain about it so if they can match that & have the insane realistic IQ they are setting out to achieve then I will happy if they sacrifice 60fps for it.

I knew it wasn't an overheating issue..... My gosh Sony's FW team have really drop the ball here.

This. If it was a heating issue you think it would be this isolated??? Almost every PS4 would have a problem considering where most people will be keeping their consoles. Also the lights were pulsating three times based on the first report from Vgscene the light shouldn't be pulsating & there should be a warning on the screen.
