I read the 2 page interview they did with Bruce and it was a good read. I also saw the interview on the PS blog with Bruce and he seems to be a bit of a character.
Great interview, great studio, great game.
Think of SP in the same way as you would Insomniac.
Both are independent companies, not owned by Sony.
However they have good relationships with Sony and enjoy working with them and as such make games exclusively for that platform. Sony enjoy the games they make and as such put their publishing power behind these companies.
The result is that these dev companies build an ever growing and loyal fanbase and sony get some amazing games to entice peopl...
Thats why you just shouldn't bother with review scores mate.
I visit Metacritic very rarely ad when I do it's just to find a quick link to some of the different reviews so I can read the review, rather than see what score they gave.
The score they just gave infamous is a fantastic score but the actual review was even more positive than the score and means a great deal more too.
I'd imagine they gave it a 95 cuz R2 was an awesome game, not just in it's SP campaign and story but in it's online modes.
IGN are more renowned for hyping games in previews and then giving reviews that are very poor in comparison to the previews.
But the actual review was great, Greg Miller has just confirmed my impressions of this game.
25 hours to go through the story as both good and evil is great and then another 5 or so hours doing side missions etc?
The review hasn't influenced whether or not I buy thid game, already decied I would be but it has most definitely generated more excitement for the release of this game.
Cheers Sucker Punch!
News 4 Gamers?
LOL
Unless the games are any good, who cares?
Just give me a bad ass new Onimusha game and another DMC that goes back to the same standards of the original. I beat DMC4 but it was a bit of a disappointment tbh.
I've never cared much for Resident Evil so not even gonna comment on RE5.
He doesn't have the right to comment with his opinion yet here you are calling him an asshole.
Sounds logical.
@Anubis - not so much America but the internet lol.
This isn't so much news as it is stating the obvious lol.
Can't wait for E3, lot of stuff from Sony I want to see and have high hopes that MS will have some good announcements.
I really like Jaffe but he should be wise enough to know that people are gonna go ahead and do things like this. He's being very naive if he thought otherwise.
Whether or not you enjoyed one over the other or one not at all is completely and utterly irrelevant lol. Why you brought up which game is more fun for you is confusing.
RE5 is a good looking game but the best on any console to date? No chance mate. Absolutely no chance.
I can think of 3 games off the top of my head that look better than RE5, those would be MGS4, Uncharted and KZ2. Actually now that IU thought about it for .03 seconds more I'll throw the glorified de...
The 360 and multi-plat dev list would overlap. Not sure MS even have 5 first party studios. Can't even put Epic Games into the 360 list if you did it like that, maybe Lionhead too (do MS own Lionhead?).
Resident Evil 5 the best looking game on either console to date?
They are kidding right?
Their list is also questionable.
And they ask Microsoft to speak on this topic?
Amazing.
Yeah I'm using shopto.net
It's the only place in the UK I have found that is actually stocking the limited edition with the code for the giga watt blade weapon download.
Pre-ordered the Limited Edition here in the UK, released on the 29th but the retailer I use normally have the game delivered at least 1 day before the actual release date!
Cannot wait!
Sounds pretty stupid to me. In fact anyone doing that is fairly retarded. I've no problem purchasing a quality product but blindly supporting a name regardless of quality is just plain stupid.
With that said I think your statement is wrong. I think that only the real top quality games for the 360, either exclusive or multi-plat have garnered support of the masses.
Sony sure didn't fail me.
I own both R1 and R2 and I have enjoyed both games as much as Gears 2 which is also a really fun game.
Questioning the power of the PS3 based on R1 & R2 is actually quite silly, both games actually look and perform very well where as Gears 2, despite being a fantastic game is glitchier than both put together both online and offline where as the Resistance series was virtually flawless in it's performance in every mode in terms of gli...
That'd be a bit pointless though since they wouldn't be able to reproduce and keep the human race going.
Then again it leaves room for a nice yet predictable twist in the story.
