It would be a better Kinect controller but that's about it.

It would still remain extremely limited for anything other than simple, casual games.

I mean all you can do with Kinect in a game like Forza is steer? Really? Not like a driving sim has complex controls and combos in there. The basic things like switching gear and braking/acceleration not even possible at this point is a bleak outlook for us core gamers.

Maybe if they keep on d...

I can see Kinect working for casual little racing games like that Kinect Joy Ride that was shown....I'm very much unconvinced that it can work well with a racing simulator like Forza. In fact I'm not convinced it can work well with the majority of core game genres. Of course I won't mind MS proving me wrong some day but it not only just needs to work, it needs to work WELL.

Some games just aren't suited to motion controls and it shouldn't be forced on them...

That's a pretty good spot there....clearly not real.

If there is any lag in the game/demo it is supposed to lag behind you...not you lag behind the movements you're supposed to be making in the game.

Although in saying that I would expect that kind of thing to work as demo'd when they get it finished, I doubt it's beyond the capabilities of Kinect to actually accomplish what they were trying to show.

Still pretty fail being sh...

I think this game will probably end up being released in the 2nd half of 2011 which is unfortunate in the sense that we'll have to wait for it but just imagine how much more awesome it'll be when it releases.

This is a guaranteed day 1 buy and it was the one new game announcement at E3 this year that made me go "holy sh!t!!!! f£%&*ing awesime I can't wait!!!"

That's why Jaffe is one of my favourite Playstation Developers. He'd probably admit he is no scholar but he really does put a lot of thought into games and thinks very philosophically about what everything in it means.

I mean look at the track record....God of War 1 leading to the rest of the franchise being progressively more awesome and the entire TM series.

You gotta love the man's work and attitude to game design.

I'd imagine what we will find is that Cole as a person has changed since we last saw him in the first game and as such his image has changed. I'd say that is the reason for the cosmetic changes, which imo is still a cool looking character but I can understand that people won't like it too. You can never please everyone.

As for the game though, this early info just makes it sound so much more of an improvement over the first game and I absolutely cannot wait to get...

Go ahead Bobby, see how that works out for you with games like BFBC2 and the new MOH around.

lol, I think you probably got those pm's because what Kojima said at E3 last year is that Peace Walker is the next step in the franchise after MGS4...so yeah technically kinda MGS5 but that isn't to say Kojima just considers it part of the main MGS universe and not in his eyes as MGS5.

I personally think if he makes another MGS on PS3 it'll be titles MGS5...or the numbers might even be dropped, you start getting higher up in the numbers and to me game titles just ...

So your theory is that Valve cancelled their own conference just so Gabe Newell could announce 1 game for the PS3?

You sir are quite possibly the most delusional being on the internet.

I can't even begin to comprehend what would make you actually have even a notion that that might be the case. I mean a conference implies there will be a whole bunch of stuff to talk about. So with your logic Sony either paid them to announce NOTHING of their own and just...

Having Steam on PSN would be pretty cool and it'd be nice if this means more Valve games make their way to the PS3 so PS3 only owners can enjoy them too.

I have to say though that games like L4D I'll always end up buying on PC just because I like it there more....bought it on PC instead of my 360 for that reason.

Still though, if more Valve games make their way onto PS3 then it will be really nice in having the choice of which platform I want to play ...

I don't really play minis or the PS1 classics that end up on the EU store but if I did then the free games each month would probably be enough to tempt me into signing up.

I'm still interested in the service but I think I'll probably wait until they add more features to it.

Sorcery actually looked really good. I was on MSN with a friend during the conference and we were both talking about how fun and cool it looked.

I'm not done sifting through all the news and games yet but at the moment, Twisted Metal is my highlight so far.

Microsoft have turned into Geoff Keighley, big promises and then not living up to the hype. I'll reserve judgement on these claims until gamescom is over and done with.

I do find it hard to believe they'll put on a bigger and better show at E3 though...E3 is the big one.

As for him saying they'd be more spectacular at gamescom this year than they were last year. Were they even at gamescom last year? I can't recall them releasing any news from ...

As a core gamer the MS conference left me disappointed tbh. There were 2 MS exclusives shown that interest me. MGS Rising Interetsed me too but it's not an exclusive, nor is COD and this timed exclusive DLC stuff is ridiculous.

Nintendo probably "won" E3 if that is possible but as a core gamer, the company that showed most for me was Sony...hands down.

Sony's conference with what they did show was all fantastic imo.

What did disappoint me was that there was no Insomniac, no Agent, no Last Guardian, no Lightbox Interactive. I really wanted to see those kind of things.

They did show Twisted Metal though.....that was pretty damn awesome.

I also liked the games shown for Move a hell of a lot more than the games shown for Kinect. Sony just proved to me that Move isn't only being aimed ...

Well we can't say it about sony too because they haven't had their press conference yet. They may well have new unnanounced hardcore games to show off. Yeah they announced a lot of big games already, doesn't mean to say there's no more core games to be announced though but you could well be correct come this time tomorrow.

Kinda need to wait until then though before saying things like that.

The stuff you mentioned was great.

Pretty sure nobody has any criticisms of that stuff. People are disappointed in the Kinect stuff which was garbage and the lack of anything new for core gamers considering the games shown were already known to the world, with the exception of the Crytek game.

That's why for me the MS conference sucked...I love what they showed for core gamers but Iwas excited to see what NEW content for core gamers they had up their sle...

That article actually summed up my feelings on the MS conference.

The stuff that actually interested me was great but was only a very small portion of their conference. The showed nothing new that interested me, apart from whatever that Crytek game is.
