Twisted Metal never did push graphics, it was always about the gameplay.
That said though, Jaffe mentioned on his twitter feed what was shown was pre, pre alpha code (his words). I believe he also mentioned that graphics and effects would end up getting a 10-30% bump but TM will never be an Uncharted 2 in terms of visuals.
All I want from Twisted Metal is a game with good visuals and effects that give a sense of tthe carnage that will be going on accompanied ...
I'll maybe download this and play it another time...got the MOH Beta to have some fun with!
Getting it to Uncharted 2 visuals will be a tall order and I don't expect them to achive that to be honest.
What I would happily settle for is a game that is as fun and exciting as the original yet with improvements to story, characters and gameplay along with a technical performance improvement and even just a little improvement in graphics.
I don't need this to have UC2 graphics for it to be awesome, but it would be sweet if they got close to those ...
Absolutely beautiful and stunning screenshots.
November can't get here soon enough. Assuming of course we actually get it in November over here in the UK.
What are these delays these people keep referring to?
I've only ever seen Sony announce one official date for the game to be released in that was pushed back.
If someone can find me a date the game was supposed to be released other than March 2010 in Japan I'll gladly concede my point that "numerous delays" are something that has not hindered the release of GT5.
Look at Killzone 2, it took like 4 years to create and a large ...
The Nav controller for Move is not a necessity for Move games.
All you need is the Move Controller and the PS Eye.
The Nav controller is optional.
You'll get some games for 4 players but it will end up turn based like the bowling game in Wii Sports as an example.
Doubt you'll be doing 4 player split screen in something like Kinect Joy Ride.
The PS3 actually was good value for money when you took into account everything it was capable of and how well it done it though.
Then again people see value in different things in their own way. Kinect doesn't have any software that interests me right now so I wouldn't see value in it at 10 dollars. I suppose anyone that thought the PS3 wasn't value for money at the start because it had very few games felt as justified in that opinion as I do with my non interest...
duplicate story doood
Microsoft also believe their HDD's are good value for money.
I'll wait until they announce pricing before buying into any PR.
lol yeah sorry I did mean to type fall of 2011, thanks for pointing out my bad typing!!!
Game looks great but the graphics aren't what you'd expect of an exclusive title at all.
Still though it does look like it could be fun and I reckon I'll be trying it out.
Any ideas on a release date anyone?
It looked like a really early build of the game in general to be honest, this is compounded by Jaffe saying there were a lot of glitches in the demo. He also said during E3 that they still have a lot of work to do on the game.
I doubt the game is going to be released before fall 2010 so there's still a ton of work to be done on the game.
I think the game will graphically look great when it comes out but I don't think we should be expecting a game as i...
LAst year that would have been true.
I'm expecting games like FFV13 and TLG to be shown off more at TGS.
As for Resistance and anything else they are going to announce, I think those will be getting saved for Gamescom....at least I hope they are!
Ok so what I want right now, apart from having GT5 in my hands is having that song in the trailer on my mp3 player.
It needs to happen!
I wouldn't mind it being expensive if the software made it worth while tbh. But at this point, with the games they showed at E3 which will launch with it I'm just not interested in it at any price.
Sony showed games that work with Move, games that actually interest me but even at that I still want to wait and find out how well the finished product games and finished product controller actually work.
Seems to me like the success of Kinect this holiday depends entirely on whether or not the casual crowd are interested in it and it is going to need to be at an extremely attractive price for them to "jump in" as it were.
MS will need to produce something very special with it's pricing and marketing to convince parents looking for a casual family gaming experience not to buy a Wii instead.
Biggest WTF moment of any of the E3 press conferences had to be Gabe Newell on Sony's stage.
I mean seriously, who saw that one coming?
Makes me want to have another playthrough tbh!
It's not even just the gameplay in UC2...I mean the gameplay is amazing but the star of the show in Among Thieves is the story, the way it is told along with the characters and the acting behind it. It is an epic in every sense of the word, epic story, epic characters and epic acting in there. And like I said the gameplay is none too shabby either.
