Clearly we need to wait for an official announcement from Sony but I got this email from Amazon UK about a week or so ago I think.

It says expected delivery date as December 17th...which is a Friday, normally the release day for new games in the UK.

That looked pretty sore.

I couldn't help laughing though....lol

If they subscription service offers unlimited streaming for a decent price then I'd probably be all over this.

And the date makes sense given that the 10th is a Wednesday, when the store gets updated.

But yeah, for me it all depends on the subscription model. I've always wanted something like Netflix over here in the UK and although Lovefilm isn't nearly as comprehensive, it's the best we've got it seems.

Yeah it would be nice to have as a standalone, honestly wouldn't replace my current 360 controller though....just don't have the need to.

If I needed to buy another additional controller though.....maybe.

Yeah I know what you mean.

I mean I posted that comment and got to thinking, "what time did that interview take place?...was the guy sleep deprived?"

Then again, if I was as excited as that about like Kinect or Move or even at the launch of the 360 or PS3 or whatever I'd be able to come up with at least one game.

I don't think that guy is not a gamer, clearly you have to be in order to wait outside like that....I'd say h...

There's nothing wrong with the Dualshock controller.

The majority of 3rd party control pads that are even made for PC copy the design as it's that good. It's an iconic design which has been copied for good reason.

Yes, there's some room for improvement of course, like triggers in place of the R2/L2 buttons as that is one aspect of the 360 controller which is awesome.

The 360 controller is also very very comfortable, but so is ...

This article is about the new 360 wireless controller with the updated D-Pad.

It is not about Kinect.

Taking a bubble for you just being either completely dumb, a troll or both.

Around the 3 minute mark, HHG is talking to some dude who had been waiting since 7pm on Monday.

HHG asks him what it is about Kinect that made him wait out in front of the store all that time.

The guy couldn't even name a proper reason, not a game, not a feature....nothing. Nothing except that it is "almost precisely 1:1 movement and it's going to get better and like patchwork, everything they do to improve it over time"

Oh ...

Well you can't really blame Microsoft for banning people with modded machines, they lose out on money as do the people who make the games.

It's not really right to criticise the timing of the bans either I don't think. I mean you have to just tip your hat to MS for being smart about it. They know that this is the time of year where most consoles are sold and they know it's the time of the year where normally the most in demand games are released.

Consider that we've had NPD for the US and it reports that 360 outsells PS3 in the USA.

Also take into account that Microsoft released a year earlier and had around a 10 million or so head start on units sold/shipped or whatever.

Now consider that both Sony and Microsoft have just released figures of their units sold/shipped or whatever and the difference is around ~3 million or so.

We get Media Create figures from Japan on this very webs...

All I know is, I absolutely loved inFAMOUS. It had a few flaws yeah but the game overall was awesome and a great idea....superb introduction to a new franchise.

I cannot wait for inFAMOUS 2, I'm really hard pushed between inFAMOUS and Uncharted as to which is my favourite new IP of this gen.

Yeah, our game developers get no tax breaks really. They were being given one but then it got revoked I think.

Can't expect the top talent in such a large industry to operate out of a place that does them no favours.

It's sad, but at the end of the day if they operate somewhere else and can make great games for me to play, then mission accomplished....even though I do wish they were part of our economy.

I got an email today from Amazon UK saying my pre-order estimatyed arrival date is December 17th.

http://img707.imageshack.us...

Maybe not definitive as the 17th is a Wednesday which is an unusual release date for the UK.

I'm no longer a COD fan and I have a serious dislike tor Kotick but it really would not surprise me if he is right with this.

MW2 was the biggest launch for a game ever and apparently the pre-orders for Black Ops is greater than MW2. If that trend keeps up then he'll certainly be on the money with this prediction.

"But all the things I thought were not enough yet, the users said the exact same thing when the game came out. That was something I regretted very much when that happened because I knew it was coming. And that happened at the beginning of my career, and it was something I vowed would never happen again."

If only more games were designed with this philosophy in mind.

Shoto are quite a large online retailer for video games in the UK with a very big customer base.

They know what amount of stock they will be getting.

Let's not be retarded here.

As for the actual sales, clearly they are talking about their pre-order numbers.

5572d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

I doubt he has an official source for that, Motorola.

To be fair though it would make sense. In the UK, GAME are the biggest video game retailer so more stock being spread to their stores/warehouse for online orders makes sense.

ShopTo is a very very popular online retailer in the UK though and I'd imagine they'd get a fair allocation of stock tbh.

They did the bare bones option with their console, doing the same with LIVE would be a good idea.

It'll never happen though, they'd tell you the bare bones option is Silver membership.
