hands down. I was downright giddy when I saw that his clothes got wet in the water. They could have done better on the "splash" effect thought. It doesn't look right...
Also when there is a current, and yes the current affects you in the water, the surface ripples should be distorted by it and not be perfectly circular.

In the US version there's an option in setup for whether you want blood or not. So just because it may be off by default in Japan doesn't mean its locked out entirely. Check the setup system out and let us know.
I really like the color changing background and the swoosh thing that is default. I've tried other stuff, but it just tends to make it less usable and harder to read...

For something THIS long in development, it better have graphics superior to Uncharted, a world more extensive than GTA, a multiplayer experience that Halo can't touch, AND all be in 3d from normal equipment.
This has been the laughing stock of development for yeaaaaarrrrrs.
The real shocker to me on this list is that Bladestorm sold worse than Sonic the Hedgehog... I mean... Cmon... Sonic was one of the most unplayable games made for any console this generation AND its old. Bladestorm just came out. This is probably going to tank hard, which is too bad because I was one of the few that LIKED the demo.
My only complaint about this game is I wish it was more open world sandboxed than it is. Some ledges he can grab, some ledges he can't... its hard to tell the difference between them.
This hands down has the best water effects of any game I've ever seen. I just played the "take the jetski up the river" level and was just amazed at every turn.
Lots of fun. Loving this purchase. I think as a result of having bought Assassins Creed at the same time tho...
I can tell a huge difference in uncompressed audio versus dobly digital 5.1 and even DTS to a lesser extent. My system is probably only around the 2500 dollar mark all together. It would be hard to go back to dd5.1 or dts. I'm tempted to not even buy BDs when they skimp on the audio and don't give me uncompressed now!

When someone comes along and invents a half dozen languages written and spoken from scratch... a few thousand years of back story including a really interesting creation myth, songs about its own myths and legends, layer upon layer of moral issues that are relevant to a half dozen different species from their own points of view, and have so many unpublished notes that the next generation can make their own living just by cleaning these up and publishing them ... then they can come talk to me ...
I took ALL of this into account before I bought my PS3 day one last year. I feel very secure in my 30 some odd blu-ray movies I've collected since then. 1080P and the firmware upgradeability of the PS3 see to that. Sure I lose out on some of the Microsoft only games, but you know what, I can deal with that. I get an all in one device that is the nervecenter of my home theater system.
