OMG Its the Shroud of Hale!
I've had pretty good luck with Dell laptops. I'm using a Vostro 1500 right now. Its hard to beat the price. I also spec and buy Dell Enterprise servers for work.
Btw, if you want deals with Dells check out:

If I can't use it as a modem with my laptop, I can't use it.
Too bad the real Simpsons games aren't that detailed!!
LOVED the demo. I wish the chopper's were easier to fly or anything. Maybe incorporate six axis for control (did I miss that option?).
This game came from nowhere for me. I wouldn't have given it a second look without the demo.
But I still wouldn't want to be anywhere near Chernobyl.
If you have to build for a system with no hard drive and DVD only space limitations, you get shorter games as graphics and sound space demands increase. Its not rocket science.
So I turned of PS2 upscaling and smoothing options and no more freezes. I have no idea what that happened, but it fixed it and now I can play. I couldn't get more than 15 minutes out of the game without a lock before doing that.
I can't play more than about 45 minutes before a random lockup. I even put a few extra exhaust fans blowing into the ps3 in case it was heat related somehow and nothing helps. My punishment for buying a PS3 opening day I guess.
Don't sully Doctor Who's good name with a game on any system.
Sacrilege I tell you.
Tom Baker, I summon you to wreak your bescarved vengence upon these humans!
@1.1
The problem is... not many people REMEMBER Duke's voice. I bet most people here never got a chance to play the old games.
I'd be all excited that I had Duke's voice as my mailbox message, and then I just KNOW people would be saying, "Whose the dude on your voicemail?"
*sighs*
and it will be delivered by topless warrior women riding on unicorns... I think this child is up past his bedtime.

Heeeey stop knocking my PvP system! *grins* *points at name*
Don't make me p0wn you for no penalty!
Ok yes its bad, I couldn't help it.
I learned a long time ago I had to stay away from MMORPGs or I'd lose my real life for the virtual one.
Can someone explain to me how DTS-HD audio is better than lpcm uncompressed?
I really hope it fixes the .mp4 video problem that cropped up in the last update.
I've been using only Linux since 2000 and never looked back. I do all my gaming on my Playstation3. After gaming on a 62" HD TV with 7.1 sound a monitor just isn't the same anymore anyway.
Using Linux has led to jobs for me as well. Started as a Network Operations person, went up to Systems Admin, then Senior Systems Admin, and now I head the IT department.
I installed Linux for the first time in 1995 with Slackware. Its come a LONG way.
FTFA "Because of this emphasis on parallelism and bandwidth, "Nehalem," broadly conceived, is less of a "processor" in the classical sense than it is a set of building blocks that can be assembled in different configurations for different market segments."
This sounds an awfully lot like how the cell processor system works, only the cell goes a step farther and has seperate silicon.
I've been out of the VLSI design business for a while, ...
I don't even like riding the bus, let alone playing a simulation of it.
Kudos for original thinking though! Good luck!
I've been using MediaTomb for about a year and loving it. I can stream pictures, movies, and video to the ps3. Plus... its free.
