Well technically it's not Nvidia's fault. Nvidia design's the chip. Then a chip fabrication company creates the chips for them. So really it's the fabrication companies fault for botching up the chips.

People have to remember that these things are made at the nanoscale, approaching atomic scale. It is far too small and complex for Nvidia to know if a chip wasn't produced perfectly. Even if they test every chip before sending them out, it's not a guarantee that the chip will keep ...

Holy cr*p, there's a lot more game developers around my area of Canada BC than I thought... That helps with my worries about finding a job after I finish school for 3D Modeling & Animation.

Well, only part of Larrabee is an actual GPU. So it's pretty much impossible for Larrabee to be a better GPU than even the current offerings from ATI and Nvidia. It won't be able to have anywhere near enough transistors to compete with the highest end GPU's. But it could probably steal some of the lower end market.

Read the contributor FAQ about the TECH section. The news in the Tech section doesn't have to be gaming related.

And omg, I used the word "idiot" once. Yeah, that really qualifies for a ban.. Out of the 74 users who set to ignore you, I wonder if there's a reason like that to ban you also? You must be doing something offensive to get that many ignores...

This story is in line with the rules. You don't care abut the story? Well that's your opinion. But that ...

To the people reporting this as spam: This website isn't "News about Games". It is "News 4 Gamers". The TECH section is for interesting technology news. If it's not of interest to you, fine. But don't report it as spam! The less experienced contributors come in an follow along on the reporting because they don't know enough to know if it's right or wrong.

Wow... 100,000 times the weight of water... I would love to have a tiny encased piece of this stuff just for wow factor. A piece barely visible to the eye would weigh still a ridiculous amount. That would be so awesome to have. You could play a lot of tricks on people with this stuff haha.

Man, I can't wait for this GPU to be released. It is looking fu#!ing epic. Will probably be the first Single GPU sytem to play Crysis on all maxed settings at 1900x1200.

Oh yeah, I got my stories mixed up.

Anyway, the RC1 doesn't expire until I about March if I remember correctly :P

If only corporations in America didn't have so much power over everything. The current major ISP's on this continent are really being scrooges with their internet services. And try their best to push out anyone who threatens their business models.

Dayum that's one powerful laptop.

But they really should have opted for the i7 920 and in store overclocked it.. All the other iterations are pretty much a waste of money. Would have cut the price down by over $1000.

Mmmm... nerd porn.

I found the slide showing the different abilities of CPU types over time funny. Single core for multi-media, to Multi-Core for 3D and Video, then Terascale and Larabee for models. Oh look, were becoming a GPU! lol. Years and years of Intel saying GPU's are an inferior design...haha

@steve30x: Could have been caused by the shippers when it came to those 6 TV'. Driver hit's a pot hole and you've got a bunch of dead TV's on your hands. There's a lot of delicate connections in LCD screen's of that scale that can be destroyed due to poor handling.

But yeah, I'd rather go with a more trusted brand like Toshibi or Samsung. And always pay for dead pixel insurance, it's well worth it.

How is that relevant?

Why would you pirate something that's free? This story is about a test update to make sure the update system is working fine. Updates are good...they fix up vulnerabilities most of the time.

Why would it matter what the companies think?

The only real reasons it didn't get much reception with companies is because:

1.) Past few years haven't had a good economy for non necessity spending.
2.) The OS didn't perform as well as XP. (Unlike Windows 7 does.)
3.) Win 7 changed the OS up a lot. So there is the fear of decreased work efficiency for the first few months, on top of the money spent on a new OS and possibly new hardware.

Try out the ...

People don't seem to understand that 1080p means 1080 horizontal lines of pixels. So any widescreen that has exactly 1080 horizontal lines of pixels is 1080p.

The one your talking about has 1200 lines. So it is 1200p. Higher than high definition.

I sent the article creator an email about this. I hope he reads it.

The product he's talking about is utter trash. Especially for $429.

You can get higher resolution, higher response time, higher contrast ratio gaming "HDTV's" (monitors) for cheaper than that.

They could have gotten the funding if they went into a share agreement with another developer. But I guess they decided to scrap the game instead of sucking up their ego and letting another company help <_<.

Yeah, ZBrush is an amazing tool for creating 3D models. I've just started teaching myself to use it. It's quite a unique and intuitive program.

You should check out the galleries on that forum. There's even more amazing work on there that will make your jaw drop in awe.
